Skyruner2 Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 Hi, well since i don't see such a threat here at all... first off, let me say this is, all judging form the demo, one of the best games i have played in a while!the entire starwas feeling is there and its very cool to send these huge star destroyers through space !!!!!just absolutely amazing! how ever, one thing does bug my.. it seems like the primary gaming level is the galactic view.. from here you initiate a battle and you always return to it from the battle. i guess what I'm trying to say is this: when I'm in a ground battle, it seems weird not to be able to go into space or galaxy mode. your locked into this ground battle and thats more or less it for the moment. Same with space battle. in the command and conquer games, i could send a group of tanks to the top of the map, but at the same time scroll down to my base to produce more units. That, for me is sort of lacking in the game.. the ability to go where ever i want, whenever i want. EAW feels more like thouse missions back in C&C where you get a limited group of units which you need to use to cross the map... anyways, besides that its absolutely amazing! Just loving it. Ishmael-PG Posted January 18, 2006 Share Posted January 18, 2006 There are certainly some differences in EaW that you'll notice right away -- one of the main ones being the shift of production to galactic. Don't forget that you can call down more forces from orbit with the reinforcement button, so you're only limited in units by what you brought into space above the planet in the first place! Enjoy! Can't remember that i've seen such a lovely tutorial before. It isn't boring but explains everything you need to know while playing around with all the games options. Ok.. finishing the mission and then i'll go for the conquest mode. By the way : Frank's work on the music is amazing. So many great tunes from the original movies arranged in a wonderfull way... and there is something very good to say about the game : 100 % star wars atmosphere. even without some of the most famous ships Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
