Personal protest against www.lucasforums.com

Now ... until this day I enjoyed good relations with the people at http://www.lucasforums.com - I mean I never edited their posts here always try to help and understand them and make it all a constructive relation between us and them - I even sent PMs to say thanks to the developers posting there for their help in growing the community all over the eaw universe an not only here.

 

I personally like DMUK, Popcorn and the others from .net but what has happened today just makes me sad and mad. People that I didn't see in the past caring about eaw are now stepping in and taking over eaw.net aspects:

I just wanted to inform the people who have accounts on the Petroglyph FForums too that on 15 Jan PFF will be relocating to a better server to avoid past login problems. If you have any questions pls. look at the relocation topics here:

that was no publicity or something else nor something that eaw.net does not do here. We only desire here to give to the developers and fans a good time with good feedback. We do not intend to become a huge site in need of members but mearly a satelite that is in orbit around Petroglyph.

 

This is a huge disrespectful act to me and maybe us all here at Petroglyph Fan Forums- firstly because PFF is not my site and second because how we always treated in the past the eaw.net and the lec community in general.

 

I do hope that DMUK will step in and preserve our good relations.

As i always said, no we do NOT want the same thing. Telling fake news, telling lots of things just to have a big audience rate implies wrong actions.

So DMUK is the first on PFF to make several announcements "eaw.net devchat" and I'm not surprised he is the last to help PFF in doing its relocation.

 

Just for concerned people, as lots of these posts was deleted, I was always right about fake announcements,news and eveyrhting I've told toward eaw.net

 

So let's see now where is the credibilty.

Yes - we allowed eaw.net to post everything they wanted here and how they wanted since I wanted them to grow. I also want the lec community to fully feel how nice the petroglyph game designers and developers can be.

 

We promote the developers interests (as we see fit) as much as we promote the community interests (as we see fit). There is a clear 50%-50% here.

 

The one who edited my post was not one who we know but one who represents their forums.

 

We do not care if we are 10 members here or 10.000 - and this maybe our strongest point.

 

For now ... I am just sad and I have a sick feeling in my stomac. I just wait for DMUK to show up and sort this out.

Let me address BOTH issues here.

 

Firstly Siddus.

Not many people send me over the edge, but you most certainly do.

Demo released date - announced and correct.

 

fake? I think not. Ive been doing this kind of thing for almost 6 years with Lucasarts and yes, times/dates change at the last minute but thats life. Get over it.

 

Secondly. PFF thread

I have just logged into our forums and this was put in front of me. I saw the post earlier on our forums and left it as it is useful info as I know many people are members on both forums - although really this place focus more on Petroglyph/Eaw where we are Lucasarts/EaW but like giving Petroglyph the extra coverage as they deserve it. I have reopend the thread and apologise in advance

This should be taken to the Maw or deleated all together! DMUK already has spoken, there is nothing else we need to say. Like Delphi said, Why can't we all just get along??? We shouldn't be mad at other forums, but at the one poster that said something mean. Why is this called "Protest against Lucasforums", when the quarrel is just against one poster??

And we someone got DMUK mad, so we should give DMUK a really big cookie for making him mad.

Lol, I was talking about rate, not the website. But Even about this I'd say it's the opposite, We have been told lot's of piece of information by LEC, Activision and Petro. We have then all news concerning my own country and localization, and It would be hard to only report news hehe

About jealousy , it's funny, because I'm not concerned by english speaking people, I don't think they would appreciate a website which is not written in English (even if I know that somme people here use eaw-fr galleries and vidos databases)

 

About the next, we have already talked about all of this, but I didn't say "demo mid december" "demo end december" "demo early january" "demo mis january" of course at the then you're right

I have nothing against you personnally, I just think that inforation relay process from eaw.net could be improved in serious and Rigour, no more I even suggest yo help you in contacting Activision UK when you said that you had problems about this. I only posted my personal protest since the super dude who edited my post there was rude an had let it in the open. Also as you may have seen my protest was mainly directed against the forums and not eaw.net.

 

Anyway to be constructive I will like to invite DMUK and his team to join in this PFF enterprise and make this project a common one - so the bug list - if they are any - should be one on both forums and we should coordinate together their reporting.

Siddus I am sure that DMUK will prove you wrong and he will show you that he cares about the EAW-Petroglyph Community as much as he cares about the EAW-LEC Community.

 

 

Btw as soon as JI start to send the emails - all activities should be focused in the new location. Every new topic should be closed with the mention that it should be redone at the new locations.

 

This forums will remain active and online just in case we will have any porblems there. The transfer should be on stages and progressive.
