Nevets Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 As to diplomacy, we looked at adding it early in the project, but we found that in general it tended to bog down the pacing of the game and really didn’t add much – it made the game feel more like Civilization than an RTS. While I know some fans out there were hoping for it, I personally think the game plays much better without it. From the Q&A, but figured it needed its own topic to discuss. I know that many of us were looking forward to this. I hope it will be included in an expansion pack. It would definitely add a long of content and more replay value to the game. I also wonder about if force currupt is still in, haven't heard about it since Delphi talked about it....hmmm.
vasuba_pff Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Some ways ill miss diplomacy but i guess they are going for a more streamlined game. perhaps an exspansion will add it especially if the demand for it is enough when the game is released. As far as force corrupt id expect it to still be in. They havent addressed Hero Abilities at all really except for a few. Palpatine has been more or less kept secret all along abilities wise in the public. we know more here cause we are special

Nevets Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 You know what is odd tho. Do you guys remember when they updated the EAW site the first endor video showed ewoks battling the rebels. It was then taken down and a new one was added. Now logic tells me the ewoks would be on the rebel side and not an attack everyone group. This lead some of us to think the empire had influenced them, hence diplomacy. So was this feature in EAW a lot longer than we thought before it was cut? Or was it cut earlier in production like he stated? Them taking down that video did seem a little odd. Did this feature suffer the same fate as the venator.
vasuba_pff Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 it could be possible ewoks dont have a side. Id imagine not every race will auto have a side but will in the end fight for who owns the planet.
Cygnus X-1 Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Its similar to Battle Front 2, if you attack them, they will hurt you, and if you help them, they will help you. At least this is how I see it. Only on an RTS scale http://img506.imageshack.us/img506/6843/cygnussiggy5dn.jpgwww.cncnz.comFenton

Nevets Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Torpid answered if Force Corrupt was still in: I still wonder if Force corrput is in. Delphi talked about this before. Yep, still there. So that is still good. So we can still have some "diplomacy"
Grand Admiral Thrawn 889 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Lol Corrupt is a type of Corrupt. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n292/Admiral_Antilles/Thrawncopy.jpghttp://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg I Support the Resistance!
JediKnightNathan Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 What a bout the comand/renforment points. If you control one the local force around that point could fight with you.
