Baleur Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 (edited) CF Bug - 001 I dont really see the need for a format here, the entire computer simply freezes randomly, mostly at the galaxy map, sometimes even before the game has started, then if waiting long enugh pops up a bluescreen with the common nv4 error (its the nvidia driver causing the bluescreen).I'm using the 81.98 drivers on a Geforce 6800, Win XP SP2, SB X-Fi Platinum, P4 3.6ghz HT enabled. Well i guess that's all you need to know, im sure this is a known issue and that nvidia is working on it as we speak. Edited January 19, 2006 by Cain

SP1 -Error Type: Freezing -Location: tutorial mission 1 -Language: demo in english, windows in dutch -Description: So I come home, go upstairs, turn on the comp, start the tutorial, and bam! after about 5 minutes it freezes.Ok so that was a disappointment but nevertheless, I rebooted and tried again, bam! same thing happened at about the same time.(note: not triggered by something ingame, I was slightly farther on into the mission this time thanks to knowing what to do)Ok so I figured I'd update my drivers, just did that, turned down the graphics somewhat just because I was cautious and still, when I started the tutorial, bam! and my system froze. -Steps to reproduce: 1. start game2. start tutorial mission 13. watch comp freeze after about 5 minutes [EDIT] Fixed by a reinstall. I can sit and watch the menu for as long as I like, but as soon as I enter Galactic Conquest, it freezes and then the computer restarts. When I get back to my desktop, the resolution has been changed, which makes me think its a video problem, but my drivers are updated. I've tried playing 4 times, reinstalled, and tried 3 more times always with the same result. -Steps to reproduce:1. start game2. start galactic conquest3. watch comp freeze after about 5 seconds and then computer restarts

System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002HP Pavilion Intel Pentium 4 CPU 1.70 GHz1.0 GB of RAMATI Radeon 9550 Description: Game freezes, minimizes, and a window pops us saying the following: Exception! An exception has occurred. See _logfile.txt and _exept.txt for details. On rare occasions, it crashes and restarts the computer as well, but I'm guessing that's a system problem seeing that it happens on other games too. Anyone know anything about Paging File Size? If so, what would you reccomend for my system?
