What the freeking heck is Luke doing with a light saber in that pic? Are they trying to misguide people on purpose?

Teradyn he does get a lightsaber before the DS blows up Alderaan he gets it from Ben so is it that unbelieveable that if Ben surives he starts to train Luke and since that technically isnt a screenshot it doesn't quite say where its from therefore it can just be used as a distraction.

At the point he wields a lightsaber people are going to assume that he is a Jedi, and Petro has confirmed that he will not be. Him walking into combat with a light saber would be suicide.

 

We know that wielding a lightsaber does not make one a Jedi. Heck, even Han Solo wielded one in ESB. But when you are dealing with the general public (the kind that don't understand how freaking out of place the A-Wing is in this timeline, wonder what the heck a "Broadside" is, etc), you need to be more careful than that.

 

Besides, what does his training have to do with anything. We can't train Jedi in this game.

The picture of Luke was inserted by the magazine designer (and so is Obi-Wan). This is not official. So it's just there for "good-looking" and not because it shows content of the game. (We all know this image of Luke from several games box shots. "The Empire Strikes Back" for the SNES for example)
