Ghostly_Substance Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 lol what a joke. I imagine it will flop just like SWG is http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/startrekonline/screenindex.html?sid=6140686 lol let me guess you go through the academy and practice and stuff then you get promoted to a ship of some sort and have to help it survive and explore new worlds. After that you get promoted to different ranks of your chosen ship section. Then when the captain leaves the highest ranked player gets the spot and explorers and fights in battles. Ship gets destroyed so you have to start all over again but have the skills you have. Ship gets rebuilt and well basic battles and such and gets more complex. -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
Stellar_Magic Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Cool... It'll probably play more like EVE (Which rocks and is more along the lines of what SWG should have been) though. You don't walk around planets or anything, instead you fly around an enormous number of solar systems, mining, hunting pirates, enforcing laws, playing pirate, chasing klingons, playing as klingons, chasing ferengi, playing as ferengi, chasing romulans, playing as romulans... I could get into that. If its like you say though... It'll s*** Forum and RPG Membership:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/StellarMagic01/RaporaWarsTC.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/StellarMagic01/RaporaWarsRPG2.jpg Signature:Sufficiently advanced technology would be indistinguishable from Magic. -Arthur C. Ghostly_Substance Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 I never played EVE but I tried too. FileFront (One that makes you subsribe to download) was either currupt, canceled the download on me or took way to long to download the client. I had the key code to try but as I told you above. Well I wonder if space will be RTS like for the Captain and FPS for the rest who control the ship and on planets in selected areas. You'll gain mission from incoming messages and view them and them obey or disobey them. Fight against the BORG and have a slim chance of survival. Thing is about borgs they adapt right? So what if a semi-newbie but experience player comes across them? Borgs would have adapted to so much that it would become pointless to fight them. -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
RogueCommander Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 As long as SOE doesn't go anywhere near this game it will probably turn out alright. Btw for all SOE haters here is a vid that may give you a laugh: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6010751258166043621&q=darth+velveeta+video I was considering to buying SWG until NGE where it is pure garbage now.
