The Peregrine Charge

Good day Pilots.

The Peregrine charge is the name dubbed for the Attack, I General Garm Bel Iblis puled off agianst the SD defence around the planet Tangrine.

 

First set up a two prong offence with your strongest ship at the tip of both straight forward prong , followed behind by your hardest hitting. In the battle over Tangrine I originally only had three ships and still destroyed 4 Star Destroyers,I had 2 Lancers and a Corvette.

Now that your two Prong spear is set up target the Enemys Biggest meanest Starship and charge right at it. Launch your fighters as soon as you come in firing range. send all of them down the middle of the spear and target the Big ship's Weapons. Surround it with your other ships and direct all fire at its bridge. As soon as its destroyed, which won't be long, split your fleet direcly in half and surround the nearest ships on both sides. Send your fighters to attack the nearest ship's weapons. if one of your ships is about to be destroyed don't worry about retreating, this is the rebellion. No need to waste good men like the Imperials.

this tactic only works if you had the Peregrine as your ship with two of its Sister ships so this tactic wouldn't work as the Dreadnought is not in this game at this time.

Thats too easy to counter. Channeling all of your fighters down the middle makes it easy even for ISDs to blast them with concentrated fire while IMP bombers hit you from the outside.

 

And there is no way in all 9 hells of Correlia that 2 Lancers and a corvet can defeat 4 ISDs, even if you fight them one at a time.

Go read about Bel Iblis, hes done it. of course he had modded Dreadnaughts but its a great tactic due to friendly fire issues. however I doubt EaW will have friendly fire Edited February 7, 2006 by Bel_Iblis

Bel Iblis never has used LAncers he uses the Peregrine a modified Dreadnought from the KAtana Fleet its his flag ship and when he invents the charge io believe he runs and escapes the ISD's.
