Cain Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Cool man Thanks. Btw can you give us more screens ? - The Trivium Organization - Community Manager -- Petroglyph Fan Forums - CoAdmin & Human Resources Manager -
Juggernaut1985 Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Sorry, but if you want to see the model you'll have to go register on the LoW forums. Or wait until Jan 2. I have many models ready to be shown, even a textured model or two.

And I come to learn from the Nexus that you guys don't like elitists and you share everything with everyone Topic moved to the mods section. - The Trivium Organization - Community Manager -- Petroglyph Fan Forums - CoAdmin & Human Resources Manager -

And I come to learn from the Nexus that you guys don't like elitists and you share everything with everyone Topic moved to the mods section. Its not elitist, its to show appreciation to those who have taken the time to register on the forum and who continue to post feedback to the mod on the forum. For that they get special perks. I'm going to show the skinned TIE/D in 3 days under the same members only section. You guys are cheap, no one will even see this topic here. So much for that.
Guest JediIgor Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 It's not cheap, it's a valid strategy. I'm afraid that serious people will just click on the link, see that you need to register, and end up skipping it because they have better things to do then register on some forum. Even with the advent of mailinator I know I often skip sites that mandate registrations.
Juggernaut1985 Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 What link are you talking about? Oh I get it, you think the pic would lead to the topic when it doesn't. there is no link.

Loll - And how do you imagine a forum will look with you option ? The Bar was once such a free place and we had tones of trubles. I mean I agree with the fact that if I have something to show you may post a link or something but to ask someone to register loll ... thats a different story. - The Trivium Organization - Community Manager -- Petroglyph Fan Forums - CoAdmin & Human Resources Manager -
Xyvik Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I'm not so sure about that. I mean, really, it takes a few moments of your time to register someplace. All he's saying is that if you want to see the stuff early, register. Otherwise wait until everyone else sees it. After all, do not these forums have stuff that not everybody can see? http://www.xyvik.com/arcaniartslogo.JPGArcani Arts: 3D Computer Art on various Gifts and Products!http://members.cox.net/d.a.xyvik/sithwarbase9.jpg What Would Fett Do?
Guest JediIgor Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 see that you need to register, and end up skipping it because they have better things to do then register on some forum. Even with the advent of mailinator I know I often skip sites that mandate registrations. And of course the fact that you have to register here to post completely went past your notice, right? Notice how I, unlike you, have a hundreds of posts. That means I actually actively participate in this community. People who register just once to grab a sneak peek or to post a one-liner bring nothing to the table. What link are you talking about? Oh I get it, you think the pic would lead to the topic when it doesn't. there is no link. That's just worse for you. You want people to spend their time searching for your forum link *and* then spend time to register? This is nothing personal, I'm just saying that your goals of exposure conflict with your requirements. Now if your goals are to attract more people permanently to your forums and the SSD pics are just bait, then you're well on your way .
Ghostly_Substance Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Well if the people want to join its good for them but if they dont want to then they dont have to even if theres something special behind the door. Well theres people who sign up on many different site then forget their long ins even if it was near the same username since people tend to change their passwords or usernames a lot and where they registered? O well its peoples choice to register on other sites just for goodies. -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png

People who register just once to grab a sneak peek or to post a one-liner bring nothing to the table. . While I'm no fan of one-line posts in any extent, in this case I must point out a general flaw in your reasoning, JediIgor: just because you have hundreds of posts doesn't mean you actually contribute anything. If I went off and posted tons of spam or worthless comments and had a thousand posts, that wouldn't make my opinions any better just because I had a high post count next to my name. On the other hand, just registering for a single post, regardless of stature of post, is rarely a sign of an opinion worth remembering.
