Guest Admiral_Antilles Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 First off you need "RebEd", you can download it off this site. If your looking to add/create your own mods you will need to have "Resource Hacker" You can get it off this site I think if not type it in Google or something it should work. If you want to edit/create your own models and texture you will need a model editing tool and Paint Shop pro or Photoshop. Hopes that helps.
HID Posted June 4, 2003 Author Posted June 4, 2003 I have already RebED and i wish to find some tools to create my own models .Enyway thanks for fast reply !
Guest Admiral_Antilles Posted June 4, 2003 Posted June 4, 2003 No problem, Just wished I could have been of more help.
Gank Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 Get gmax from http://www.discreet.com its a cut down version of 3dmax and theres a gamepack also available which allows you to export as md3.(quakes format) Once you've exported use 3dexploration to convert to directx format (.x) For texturing try the gimp, havent used it myself but its supposed to be good and most importantly its free, though with only 8 colours per texture mspaint will probably do the job.
the_mask Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 All correct, except that the 8 bit color palette differs from the standard 256 color palette provided in MS-Paint. So you'd either had open an original pic with that and copy your new picture on top of the old one, to have it use Rebellion's palette, or you try Gimp. Personally, if you don't already own a good graphics program that you're comfortable with, I'd use the Gimp http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
