Will Hapes make a presence in the game?

Hello, I'm new at the forums here .

 

I was wondering if Hapes will be in this game, represented as a small/minor faction that you can perhaps attack or become allied with? I think that would be exciting and add to the atmosphere to the game.

Sorry though, as of now there are no Hapes planets that are going to be in the game, so that means no Hapans.

 

They will for sure be in mods of the game though.

rights i really like the idea of there ships. i would love to attack a strong imperal world with a fleet of rebles ships and a fleet of hapes ships well i must down load mods lol

Mods are not ready. Will be, the first full mods will probably start releasing about six months after the game release.

 

And of course, Hapan Battle Dragons are one of the most nastiest ships I've ever read about. Very unique design worth talking about.

I dont like Hapans either. Why? They're EU.

Can someone fill me in on exactly who the Hapes are and all I know is that they're a all female race like you guys said?

they are not an all female race its a group of planets ruled by the queen mother but as that title suggests it is the women that are more prominent than the men and hence more powerfull and important. The men fight as well as the women but they mainly used to propegate and create hair's to the throne.

yeah they have 64 planets and they closed their borders to all outsiders when the emperor took over for full history see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hapes

it has a ful history for the Consortium.

Not 64 Planets, 64 Stars. They had a ton of habitable worlds and shipywards and their naval strength would probably equal 1/4 of the Imperial Navy.

I'm sorry, that's just not true. 1/4th of the Rebel Alliance navy, maybe. The Hapan navy isn't very big, they could get steamrolled by the Rebs or Imps, but it *is* big enough to defend them against other minor factions such as the CSA.

I'm talking about the fleets across the Outer Rim. They Captured them off of fleets heading back to Coruscant and the Core regions.

the WOmen only took dominace after the Jedi Decimated the Lorell Raiders. and Fosh is right they did capture huge amounts of SD after Endor they were give 63 Of them to the Rebels as a wedding present.

there is also the Hapan Battle Dragons all 64 that represented the cluster. read courtship of princess leia and it gives you a lot on information about it.

They had a ton more than 64, that was just a symbol of the Hapes cluster.

That doesn't matter, the Galactic Empire at their full might controls millions of star systems and had thousands upon thousands of Star Destroyers. Just because the Hapans controlled a few hundred capital ships similar to the ISDs doesn't mean they would pose a real threat when dealt with individually.

 

This is the same reason why the Yuuzhan Vong put off the Imperial Remnant until all the way to the end. The real target was the New Republic who could actually defeat them.

yeah but it proved a fatal mistake to both because they put off against them because they werent a big threat then but they could have ended up a big threat eventually IGor.

But the Empire had to patrol a vast amount of space, of which 25,000 Star Destroyers is not nearly enough to control. The Hapans had a much better Ship to Planet ratio, allowing them to put more ships in an assault mission than the Empire could.

It also means that it's equally as easy for the Empire to counter-attack once they realize what the Hapans were doing. The Empire could blitzkrieg all of the Hapan systems in a few days/weeks. The Hapans couldn't do the same.
