He should not be in the game. All the imperial high command knew about him, the only ones didnt knew were the rebels. He has all the right to be on this game. Nevertheless, the important thing here is that Palpatine created the Circle of the Grand Admirals two years before the battle of Yavin and not even one of them are on this game. Check this web site for referance of all the Grand Admirals in the Star Wars universe. They have the biography of all of them and why they were so important to the empire. However, the point that I forgot to mention was that Thrawn was exiled to the Unknown Regions only *after* being promoted to Grand Admiral. Don't you remember the G.A.M.E. trailer? All heroes come back. Anyways, with Palpatine it at least makes sense (since Byss is in the game).
