lol good point Teradyn but there probably is a penalty that we'll find out when we finally use the DS.

(I know i'm a rebel but you cant say that you've completed a game when you haven't played both sides. and i just want to pull the trigger on the DS. hehe.)

Well, the penalty in Rebellion was rediculous. The popularity/loyalty should have gone up on alot of worlds instead of all down. The fear should have kept alot of planets in line, that was the whole point. But for the seat of the Empire to take a huge hit when it is completely loyal to the Empire is rediculous. And if you blow something up in the Outer Rim, doesn't matter, every single inhabited planet would go more toward the Rebellion. I think that the Death Star was rendered useless in that game and I hope they don't do that again in this one. The rebels should have a genuine fear when the Death Star is in production and completed. They should have to take it out as soon as possible to preserve their planets. The strategic value to both sides would be higher. For the Empire a way to cripple the Rebel's resource production swiftly and for the Rebels an oportunity to wipe out a monumental capital investment by the Empire in one shot.

true Teradyn but also when the REbels take it out there should be a monumental change in status for a majority of the outer rim planets and an advantage of production should decrease in the empire, as it would hit moral and put hope in would be rebels.

A True stratergist doesnt need a DS to be successful. A True Thrawn should understand this.

The best way to solve this morale thing would be this:

You use the DS: Many planets secretly lean towards the Rebellion.

You bring the DS near a neutral planet: Many planets nearby will join you, including the one that is threatened.

You use the DS only to make planets join you and never really pull the trigger: Planets start to think you dont have the guts to destroy a planet and the join-effect will decrease.

Go Leafs go!

thats a good Theory Relentless but they may secretly lean but they should Join openly in defiance of the DS but then again without the Rebels sympathisers on planet the empire could convince the Population that the REbels had built the DS and trick them into joining them.

I agree with what Grd Adm said, they might join you but would secretly lean toward the rebellion.

(like allderaan was a imperial world but secretly resisted)

Destroy Coruscant with the Death Star?! That's ingenious.

I mean, you would only completely and utterly CRIPPLE YOUR OWN EMPIRE!!!

We know your a Rebel sympethyzer "Thrawn". I still fail to see why you pick such an adamant Imperial figurehead for your avatar, and yet you support the Rebel scum enough to make completely idiotic decisions for the Empire that would prove to be useless in a game you're trying to win regardless of what side you're on! What is the point of this? Why would you want to cripple your own Empire?

I love Rebels just about as much as I love diarrhea, but even if I were playing as them, I would still try my hardest to win and use every tool at my diposal. By the way, the Rebels wouldn't destroy a planet even if they had the Death Star (which make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE whatsoever), because THEY'RE THE GOOD GUYS!

Yeah he maybe an Imperial Figurehead but all he wanted to do was reunite the Galaxy NOT to install himself as the Emperor. but i like thrawn cause of how he's a genius and it wouldn't cripple my own empire cause as i've said IF it fell as the REbels would defend it so much that it wouldn't be worth taking back and because it would be tainted.

Corellia was never really a Rebel planet after the emporer died the only support they got was some ships that were stolen and some heres like Garm Bel Ibis (him and Ackbar only two guys who could fight Thrawn and win).

well coreilla was really not owned by the rebels but it happens to hold their main engineering company. it is like blowing kuat up. Some contacts in the correllian engineering company were smugglerers for the rebels. but playing as the emporer i wouldn't care if they were stolen
