What will immerse you most into the SW universe? Part II

With the wealth of new info from the EAW site and from Dephi I have created a new poll on this topic.

 

Planets: now with the official list out some of us have found our favorite planets on it, some are noticibly missing.

 

Ships: The Venator! but other fan favorites are missing such as the SSD, Dreadnaught, and interceptor.

 

Weapons: Death Star, Hypervelocity gun...need I say more?

 

Heros: Not in, yoda is.

 

Music: Not really any new info on this.

 

Staying true to canon: Kind of a debatable topic.

 

The creatures: Twi'leks, Wookiees, lots of fan favorites, even if the Rancor is on Tatooine.

 

For me it is still music, weapons are right behind it tho.

although many of my favourite ships are not in, i still want to make huge fleet of ISDs and crush the rebels with one sweep strike HAUHAUHAUH Oh yes.. i'll torture every single one of them, blow up every planet !! MUHAHA

I voted ships because there have been precious few games that have allowed me to command space battles in the Star Wars universe. So I guess it defaults to the ships because of my love for space fighting.

All my favorite ships are in the game, the cruisers, Y-wings, Nebulon Bs and gallofrees. I also worship John Williams, he is the mozart of our time.

 

I especially love that the Mon Calamari are in the game. They should help the rebels repel the Imps on Mon Calamari and it would be just cool seeing them.

I mainly am still going with music because it is the only one that has yet to disapoint me somewhat.

 

With ships the timeline disapoints me. No SSDs, interceptors, B-wings, Lancers, Carrack, Dreadnaughts, or Strike crusiers.

 

Planets have really no EPIII planets and no Dathomir.

 

Heroes don't have Yoda (seriously, how can you miss yoda?!?), Bail Organa, Wedge, Biggs (come on, you have porkins and not biggs?), Baron Fel, and the other bounty hunters.

 

Doesn't seem they are staying that true to canon.

 

The creatures. A lore mistake with the rancor and now Selkath's (even tho their planet is in the game).

 

Not saying these categories wont disturb me, just they wont give me the full feeling of controlling the star wars galaxy.

 

Maybe the music playing will even make the broadside feel star warsy.

the sheer scope of the universe draws me in, 40 + PLANETS PEOPLE!!!

 

i feel so immersed when i can take over the best places in star wars, coruscant, kashykk, you name it!

It does make sense in the context of the timeline that we wouldn't see Yoda. HOWEVER, if Dagobah is a confirmed planet then wtf mate?

Music. Although knowing Tarkin was in nearly pushed it to heroes.

 

But overall I think the music is far more important to the atmosphere than Tarkin alone.

the ssd isnt the most important ship in the galaxy but the poll has shut down so i cant vote. but the part that will immerse me most is just the general detail and the actual fighting, i love tactical fighting.

Music. For me. Everytime I hear the dah dah da da......I know i will be happy. As soon as the EAW Credits begin I will be very happy

I voted for the ships. I cant imagine myself not swelling with pride as I command a fleet of Star Destroyers into orbit!

 

I hope the voice acting for the units is good. Theres nothing worse than having to listen to silly unit voices every time you want to use that unit.(ex. Chaos Cultists DoW)

it would be music if there is music from episode III and some from episode I(II didn't have much new cool music...)

 

though the videos have music from III, well they are videos, not the game.

Ships most definitely. Especially now we can control the big guys and not have lousy graphics (*cough* Rebellion ) But the music does get you into it too, from that first blare from the trumpets.

What battle an option, for any battle you can click Auto-Decide like in Rebellion, just a lot more sophiticated and better

Today we finally got the SSD done for the mod. Yes I mean the Executor, but you;ll have to wait until the next Update to see it. Legacy of War forum members get to see it 3 days early.
