I was disapointed they didn't have the venator in this bunch, I thought they would be showing it by now. and I don't really care for the Anaxes picture, too much clumping, especially with the death star.

The last picture definitely looks like Mustafar, tho I bet it is that Shola planet :(

Other than that they all look beautiful.

Edit: and that one picture with th At-At has it so you can see through the larger units to see behind it. Could be useful, I assume it is optional tho.

The Definition seems to be very high. I am not sure that we can still say that this game if for all levels of graphics cards. I doubt that MXor Fx Chipsets can support the game.

That scares me, I have a strong feeling only the top end graphic cards will not play it, not my middle of the road one.

Very nice. I love the last one and first one. The first because there's a real melee going on there, and it just looks cool in my opinion. The last I like because it's got a great atmosphere, and as I've said before I like the weather effects. :)

Those can't possibly be from the same graphics level as the videos on the site. They, quite frankly, suck.

I personally believe those Plastic looking acclamators are what the lower end will look like. I just doesn't look as good the movies and I prefer realistic to blocky.

I beg to differ, I think this is the best graphics we have seen of the game period. Yea that Anaxes picture doesn't look the best, but the land battles look better than any strategy game I have seen. Looks like a better end graphics card.

I dunno...the space battles have never looked better. Especially with the ship lighting - that was originally something that we were bitchin' about not being there. :P

But the ground unit detail seems a little worse to me, actually. Is it just me?

I was talking about the artillery in the LEFT hand corner of #6. I apologize for my apparent lack of ability to make directions :)

Regardless, I suspect the game will scale to at least moderate level graphics cards. A big fps game (like battlefield 2) can afford to only alienate part of the game market by only running on higher end cards.

On the other hand, the rts market isn't quite big enough to ignore users with a moderate to low end card. I think it is reasonable to believe that EAW will scale fairly well (For example, Half Life 2, despite its extremely realistic graphics on high end cards, was able to run on my backup GeForce MX440 64MB [at still respectable graphics levels and at a good frame rate]. While I suspect most developers dream about making their games scale half that well, my point is that it can be done and can be done extremely well).

Back on topic, the ground graphics still seem very good to me. The main two things I noticed is in #6 the ground seems blurred and unrealistic to me, most likely the result of zooming in, and how it doesn't quite look like the infantry are really standing on the ground (it's hard to describe, but look particularly at the rebel troops).

Zing!

BF 2 was the first game to alienate me and my graphics card, and I hate it for it, still haven't played it.

I'm not saying EAW will run on MX chipsets. In fact, I would be extremely suprised if it did (though who knows? as ugly as it sounds you might be able to use a mx card with software rendering turned on). Regardless, my point is don't judge from screenshots.

Yeah, BF2 orginally did that to my FX5200. It also particularly annoyed me since it was the first game that I simply couldn't run.

NVIDIA Gefore FX 5200 could run it nicely on low setting but as soon as I put something on medium it loads twice as long. It still looks nice mind you and on low setting. I'm just wondering how long my computer could run EAW without having to cry to me that the game is buggin the computer somehow. The fan turns on and such and starts bugging me to stop. ONE MORE TURN/ONE MORE ROUND

I think my Geforce 4400 is pushing it. It will either just make it, or not (I wish they were still saying it would be able to be played on GF3s but doubt that now). I really hate to have to build a whole new computer tho, especially when everything else on my laptop could handle most games perfectly.
