A thing about unit speeches

I have some doubts about the audio features of the game

It seems that units say something to alarm the player when there is an action.

i.e. star destroyers in the game telling which parts been destroyed

But what bothers me is that there is too much of it. In the trailer, it seems whenever there is a unit destroyed they say, "unit destroyed", or when parts of ship blows up, it saids," (partname) been destroyed", etc. etc. But does that mean if i have one huge battle with thousands of troops/ ships, (and obviously alot of casualties), the speeches are gonna go crazy with "unit/parts destroyed" message? If so, i think will be pretty annoying and probably be a distraction to the gameplay rather than causing excitement. (Now I kinda sympathize Darth Vader , and the reason he sometimes kill his own officers XD)

I guess with all the soud effects, it might make it somewhat realistic, since it generates confusion and chaos of an epic battle to the players, but things like units getting destroyed, you can just notice it by things blowing up in your screen.

Also, at the very last of the scene in the hypervelocity gun, whats with the deep, cheesy voice saying, "tie fighter here"? I was like wtf?

Welcome to the forums ;)

Unit destroyed: Well if 5 units are destroying in a row then that will get annoying but it might be turned off if there is a limit of lets say....over 100 units for example. If its a small battle it could be turned on or maybe you can chose to have it on or not. Dont quote me since I was wrong about 5 times about this game :|

I think the alerts to destroyed vessels can be turned off. It's one of those things I think they'll realise some people will hate.

As for the ties, I think that's just a normal alert when a squad of ties is created. That seems no different from any other rts, and will probably have a slider to determine the volume like other games of this nature.

However this is all guesswork on my part. Don't take this as being certain, because we really don't have enough info to go on regarding this. Also, welcome to the forums.

perhaps you can only shoot at a target with the hypervelocity gun when you are in tactical mode.

Therefore, he sent in a destroyer and it launched its fighters when it came out of hyperspace (this is an ingame feature as there is a movie showing a Destroyer vs a cruiser) and he just selected one after the gun fired.

Maybe there were more ships that needed dealing with or they just selected it.
