Jmaster3265 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 We have found out due to news and trailers that there are creatures on planets. My question is can we control them or are wild and or uncontrollable? Example: Can you control banthas, wildlife, etc. like in SWGB? http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/1135/jmaster3265signew13rd.jpg
Ghostly_Substance Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 You could control a Rancor in SWGB ? Last time I checked they attacked my little poor workers -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
Jmaster3265 Posted November 22, 2005 Author Posted November 22, 2005 Sorry i edited it , i forgot you can't. No need to make a post like that.... http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/1135/jmaster3265signew13rd.jpg
Nevets Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Interesting question, probably not, I think they attack everyone. Maybe if you have good standing with a race tho you will be able to use their creatures.

My question is can we control them or are wild and or uncontrollable? Example: Can you control banthas, wildlife, etc. like in SWGB? We saw the raclaw in the first offcial trailer so i surspect we can. If we can then there would be somthing like an animal training building or unit that tames the creature/s on the planet. http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/4305/cap2073na.pngTime to do some damage.

Anyway I don't think that that is a part of this game. The indigenous life will be there. Low intelligence animals will probably attack both sides (rancors) or would just be peaceable (banthas, tauntauns). The more intelligent species, from the FAQ that Rogue made on the LEC forums, will be able to be "wooed" to a side or maybe even lend aid to both sides. I took that to mean new alien units available to your side, but I'm not sure that that is exactly correct. http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/sh/type/0/garbageben.png

A good example, as i have said before and others have said, is that Sandpeople will be hostile to all and jawas will be rebel allies (only speculation tho)
Delphi-PG Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Hehe, Force Corrupt is an awesome ability. Delphi-PGGame Designer/Community Rephttp://www.petroglyphgames.com
Zer_Teron Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Force Corrupt Awesome! http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/3488/zersigef1.jpg
Foshjedi2004 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Zer Teron, please stop doing one or two word/ line answers. Thanks. Its just we don't want you to head the same way as Megajames. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa197/knivesdamaster/tags/sith_omguserbar_member.jpg
Grey Jedi Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Hehe, Force Corrupt is an awesome ability. What exactly is this Force corrupt? My guess would be that it is a power to control an local creatures/aliens but does it work on enemy units as well. Who as is? Vader or Palpatine?
Deadeye31_pff Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I guess it allows locals within a certain range to become Imperial slaves. for the rebels, at least against an imperial computer player, maybe there'll be mini-missions on the planetary map. Like you land your troops on Endor and it pans to a group of imperials shooting Ewoks. If you save the ewoks, you get an army of them to help you. that could be one way of wooing the natives to your side.
Naja Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 'Corrupt?' If that isn't a Palpatine ability, I don't know what is.
Gen.Vader Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 you know one possibility slim as it is.... if we can harness the wildlife as vader, imagine vader with a krayt dragon or rancor as a mount! now that would be fearsome.. I've have you now - Lord Vader
Nevets Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Hmm I wonder Force Corrupt definitely sounds like a dark side power. I wonder if lightside jedi will have a similar, but less powerful power, like "force influence" I mean Obi wan had no problem using it. It would just influence the locals to do something for you where as force corrupt is sounds like it is pretty much just making them your muppets.
Grand Admiral Thrawn 889 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Yeah, that Force Corrupt sounds really cool if I was an Imperial... but as I'm usually a Rebel could the AI actually use it against me? http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n292/Admiral_Antilles/Thrawncopy.jpghttp://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg I Support the Resistance!
