the books are much better than the movies, imho i think that lucas should have gotten one of the book writers to do the story for the movies, since he cant really write for crap. and he's an even worse director

lucas lost his touch when he started writing the prequals, I'm sorry to say but the vast majority of SW books suck.... There are a few good ones like the ROTS novelization by mattew stover was good. So was Shatterpoint, Labyrinth of Evil, and the Han Solo Trilogy are among the few good ones. Zhan's books are on the lower side of OK. He's a good writer but to bad he was writing EU stuff.

I thought Zhan's books were pretty good, I would like to see SW as written by David Weber tho....

 

And as for the EU ppl makin stuff up...you kno how the books all say on/in them somwhere "Approved by George Lucas and Lucasflim"? It has credibility when the people who wrote the universe approve it.

Zhans books rocked. The NJO team did pretty good as well, though to many storys were scrapped about halfway through.

Yea, my only grip with NJO is that there is a new writing style in almost every book bc of all the different writers who wrote them.

yeah and then lucas whent ahead and made his prequals that completely disregarded the books such as the origins of Boba Fett. the books said that boba was some dork named jaster mereel or something like that now we know that he is kind off a clone of jango just unaltered. I don't think lucas really cared about those EU authors he just wanted them to get out his face so he said "sure, sure, now go away."

Uh they explained the Jaster Mereel thing in a book.

 

When he was young and had learned everything from the book Jango had given him, he went to Concord Dawn and gave himself the name Jaster Mereel. He became a Journeyman Protector and later killed another Protector. He was stripped of his rank and exiled, then he reberothed the name of Boba Fett and ordered the Slave I to accomplish his Bounty Hunter needs.

First, katana fleet is a valuable asset.

 

Second, we at LoW will not make it easy to find, mind you. How we'll set it up, that's for us to know, and for you to find out when the mod comes.

 

And third, shut up about the fleet. It's a good way to suddenly tip the balance of the losing side into winning if you somehow come across a fleet of Dreadnaughts in space out of pure luck, or through sleuthing. (More likely it'll be tracking it down, and such).

And fourth. Stop dissing Lucas and Star Wars in general (that includes EU and canon), it gets old fast.

This could make it very interesting when your enemy suddenly comes at you with a large force of Dreadnoughts and you're like "How the hell could they have built those things so fast!" Thank god for mods.

The Fleet is not in because Dreadnaughts are not in, Delphi said so, and considering the Fleet is composed of Dreadnaughts...it just leads me to believe it is officially not in the game.
