And a quick note: The MPTL-2a comes with one or two (dont remeber) small "recon droids" (forgot how they were called) which can scout the area in front of the MPTL-2a because this units firing-range is bigger then the range it can see and spot units.

Whoah! That's cool. If it's range is bigger than it's line of sight, it has to be overpowered.

In most games the range of the artillery was bigger than its view.

In Generals you could link the patriot missile launchers so that a forward one would make it look like a weak defense but when the enemy came the rear could fire too thanks to the help of the foreward launcher's sight range.

I searched through my pictures from the Games Convention but was not able to find a picture showing these droids but i found one at http://www.sw-eaw.de

The grey little ones behind and next to the MPTL-2a

I forgot their name but I know that I have noted it down but I have to search for my notes. If I find them I will let you know.

Most RL artillery guns need scouts to point out a target, as their range is usually bigger than their line-of-sight.

So if the MPTL-2a is artillery, can it move when it is firing or does it have to stop, unload, fire, pack back up, and then it can move?

In the trailer it shows the later, thats what othere games have done. Recone droids, YES that is a superb idea, little things like that make games so much more fun.

It has been said before that it has to stop and unload (which may take a long time) before it can fire. I forget where it was said, but i know it was said somewhere.

Since half its top come off and go down to each side prior to firing, I'd say, yes, it has to stay still to shoot.

Bummer...That gets rid of one of my best strategies. But, since it has an extremely large range of fire, it might still work: Have some of them deployed and pelting the enemy, with some troopers or light vehicles protecting them. When the enemy gets too close, the MTLP-2a's pack up and go backwards, while the others hold off the Imps. The MTLP-2a's lead the Imps into my trap: More MTLP-2a's and other vehicles, and I win! Yey! :D

Well when I play against you i'll just bomber squadron the heck out of you :P No matter if you have Anti air or not I still will bomber you with AT-AT and AT-ST supporting them. Also I will have scouts just annoying the heck out of you by shooting at those MTPL-2a.

Forgot about the bombers! Doh! Well...the MTPL-2a's will just pelt your AT-ATs and AT-ST's to pieces, while my AA guns blow the bombers up. And then my main force attacks and reacks havoc!

To Megajames2: That is a lot of missiles! Very good!

got it, use an SD to bombard the hell out of your units.quote]

I don't think so. Delphi said you can't do that. So, your units all die and mine live happily ever after. The End.
