Megajames Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 The rebels have a unit called the MPTL-2a it stands for Multi, Proton, Topedo, Lancher, it has four missile chutes that fire very quickly, it takes a moment to set up but not long at all really, presumming that it doesn't use underpowered torpedos it would be a very deadly unit, is this fair. It can be seen in the first officle trailer. Evacuate, in our moment of triumph. I think you overestimate their chances. Samheyn Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 There is no evidence that the MPTL-2a won't have a counterpart on the imperial side. So far we haven't got any unit lists or sort of this. So we shouldn't guess around what units might be overpowered.. we can't even tell which units will actually be in the game and remember that even petro is still balancing around + the trailer is obviously obsolete

It is the ultimate Imperial killing machine, but it is weak in terms of health. Watch the videos and you can see that they go down pretty fast. Like AT-AT's they have attack strength, but unlike the walkers, they are weak in terms of armor. Protecting the world from those who have an IQ higher than 30! Huzzah! Trust me...I'm a professional. Little.B Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 What I can tell you from the Games Convention: The MPTL-2a really needed some time to set up and oce it is unleashed it eats infantry and light vehicles, so to speak. But it is highly inaccurate. So large vehicles (which do not drive to slow) or very fast ones with AA capacity can easily take out MPTLs. The imperial counterpart however took less time to set up and had minor splash damage but did way more damage to verhicles and buildings when it hit. Actually dork, what you posted is the T-4B tank, whach the first traler and you will see the MPTL-2a take out a bunch of stormies.
