Hello , I'm news and curious

The rebellion start with only the Y-wing or has other fighter (like z-95) ?

If the rebels have only Y-wing, they have no superiority fighter to protect these bombers and the tie fighter are better than Y-wing in single combat I think , no ?

All i can say is, YOU CONTROL THE GAME, YOU DECIDE WHAT HAPPENS. Maybe you will choose to start with this and that or it will be choosen for you, and maybe you will decide what and what not to get.

Not the ARC, that was destroyed by the empire I think, Z-95's mayby, but X-wing is the fist mission, so when you have do that the games properly begins, with the X-wing.

Evacuate, in our moment of triumph. I think you overestimate their chances. :)

Maybe at the beginning of each campaign as the rebels you get to decide what ships you start out with. Like say you get a cap of the combat effectiveness total of all your ships, but you get to pick how you use that cap.

P.S. Megajames: Your post count has gone up 40 since I was on 6 hours ago. Most of the posts I have seen have been one-liners and/or off topic. Fosh has already warned you about this, so I'm just giving you a friendly nudge and heads up. I know you are enthusiastic, but please try to keep from posting every little thought that you have. Thanks! :)

I don't think the Empire can ever have it, it is just a matter of how long it takes for the Rebels to get it.

I suspect that one of the following situations will occur:

1. The Imperial/Rebel campaigns are the same, only the view point changes. If so, one of the early missions for the Empire will probably be defend a base (or whatever) from Rebel intervention. The Empire already owns the plans, and they aren't going to get x-wings because the sucessfully defend. However, I would think for balancing issues that the rebels must have the x-wing later in the Imperial campaign.

2. The campaigns are completely different, in which case the empire probably won't have a defend the plans from the rebels mission, and the rebels will have a required mission to take the plans (as in you can not advance in the game until you beat this mission).

3. The campaign missions are not linear (don't have order). I suspect that one of the possible missions the rebels could then undertake would be to attack a certain Imperial planet, which contains the plans. Until they attack sucessfully, no x-wings. On the Imperial side, this will just simply be a planet to defend.

Of the three, I think the nonlinear (#3) goes along best with there 'change Star Wars history forever' claims, and personally I think it would allow the most flexable game play (and therefore, I really hope they do the campaigns in the style of 3).

Zing!

You might be right there but I wonder how the will work on muiltiplayer, beause one, way or another the rebels have to get the X-wing plans, other wise they arn't the rebels.

I think idea #3 would be closest, but remember YOU DECIDE THE FATE OF THE GALAXY which means if you stop the rebels from stealing the x-wing plans, they can not get them, until the mission is, as you said, completed successfully.

As for the a-wings, those were entirely designed by the rebels so that is probably just a "research to get" type thing, but a-wings are long of from being on the same level as the x-wing. The x-wing is more of a power house and air/space superiority fighter, where as the a-wing is an interceptor, it can fly fast, but has weaker shields/armor and weaker weapons.

Apparently they start with the Y-Wing and Z95.

Astroid Mining Facility, cool we get to get something from the planets we destroy. Merchant Space Dock, merchants are in so maybe there is Pirates and Raiders too
