Spam Warning

Recommended Posts

The admin of PFF has decided to increase the spam control in the Petroglyph forums.

Anyone who spams will have his replies deleted on the spot by any moderator - so make your reply more significant than a simple exclamation - the forums are not a place for chat - especially the General Discussion sub forum.

If the member will continue to spam he will loose the ability to post. Remember that this forum is all about posting quality so all the "easy" replies should be in the Bar area and not here.

May the Force be with you.

Sorry Cain, but I felt this should be given a bump.

I think it's also important to know that flaming and/or trolling will not be tolerated either on this forum and any incidents should be reported to a PFF mod or admin.

Thanks! (Could you sticky this someone?)

Yes I will since this place is repeating itself and idiots from LEC forums(Not all or some but one or 2) are slowly destroying the 1 thread per topic type rule. Also rude comments/jokes are appearing which shouldn't. The Dark Side joke is at least civilized but the "you idiot" or "you star wars nerd" isn't.

 We do have two solution to face this problem:

 One to create a special GD forum were you can post only if you have been approved to do so.... something like a club.

 And give free hand to the moders to "shoot to kill" any spammers.

 Ghostly pls. improve my two ideeas and make a poll - if they pass the vote then we will do it.

1) If we do that then we would have 2 Generals and 2 bars, kinda cool tho. Well then lets make a vote in the bar :) Have a special section with "mature" topics.

2) Shoot to kill? nah, shoot to delete spammer posts :P I know bad joke.

On second thought yes it would be nuts to have 2 sub forums of the same thing so shoot to kill shall begin on Saturday. Well then I was at school so didn't think properly. Well Siddus time to Sharpen and make our Royal Guard spears shiny and protect this Deathstar at all costs :P

yes I always have to post again to correct myself since school makes me think stupidly. They want students to fail then blame them for failing like they're trying to do for me :| They went one step further and put an IEP on me (Individual Education Plan) which is totaly unnecessary.

Guest JediIgor
I'd rather take a hard line against newbie spammers by deleting their posts and warning/banning them instead of creating a special subforum.

Ok - all the Moderators have for now a "shoot to kill" license for all new replys or topics made from this day on.

1. The first shooting of one's reply will have to be followed by a PM warning that member of spam.

2. If he persists the second will aim multiple replies spammed by that user but with no warning.

3. If he is still doing it then (Next week) he will be disabled from posting.

4. The only area when the moderators can relax their weapons is the Bar area.

5. If a whole topic is spam nonsense you could move it to the bar by force and left no trail of it in the original forum.

Lets keep it clean gentlemen - good hunting!
