Alright, we know what is mod, we know some of the mods we'll have post lounch, my question is how do we mod them in?, sorry if it is a dump question, but I have never put in a mod to a game, so how it work's?

Hate to break it to everyone but most likely the mods you're waiting for won't even have a release until about 6 months after the game is out. And I'm being optomistic with that estimate.

 

But look forward to them. I'll be making a few mini-mods for public release which will change small things about the game(like heros dying), all the while coding LoW.

i just though of something, If the coding for the game will be as easy to changes as it is reported to be, we might be able to open the game file and (for example) change the code "Herorespawn=true" to "Herorespawn=false"

Well, for me, it isn't such bad, cause i'll be happy playing EaW original mod, but, then, i'll like to play with other mods, especially legacy of war, and imperial assault II, they are(For me) the best...

For the few of you who want no respawn, you can just set the timers in XML to 9999999. Poof heroes do not return.

 

I understand you guys may not like the idea of heroes returning, but in our play sessions we just found it to be more fun.

 

I believe I added an option in multiplayer to turn heroes off for a truly sterile game-play experience, but I can't remember. I am at home typing this and have not had any coffee.
