I think you should be able to choose where you retreat to. That adds more strategy to the game.

It would also take time unless you chose before hand which planet they would retreat to. I'd rather just know that the retreat (when attacking) would take them back to the planet from which they came.

If your not bothered about strategy, then why would you be playing the game??? It is a strategy game!!

Protecting the world from those who have an IQ higher than 30! Huzzah!

You retreat to the nearest planet under your control, not necessarily to you come from. It's strange sometime because when you have a front line with one isolated planet on the other side. You can send troops to this planets by launching an attack on a neighbour planet and retreat as soon as possible :D

But it would actually be nice to have some slots around the map or between the planets...deep space would be an excellent example....they are not planets...but only points where you can gather...it would add more strategy for multiplayer mode and more realism in overall. because right now...the only space fights are around a planetary system or in an asteroid field....
