Make your own mod with that feature. We would appreciate that.

UI is hard coded, no way to mod it unless you have some C++ coders on hand and can extract this data.

I'm guessing you guys still don't understand what I'm saying. I'll wait until more videos are posted.

Although wouldnt extracting data break the licence agrement? I thought that would count as de-compiling. I mean there are some things in games you just cannot mod.

I guess this means that Petroglyph will release the Source Code... Excellent.

Unfortunately my abilities with C++ are rather limited.

Hahahaha, release the source code, hahahahaha. It means they'll allow us to load external DLLs, that's what it means. If he's sure that he's sure that is. So Delphi, are you sure that you're sure? :)

Cause if that's true, that's a very good thing :).

umm. for the codes/modding, are we only allowed to replace existing units, or can we actually add things in the game?

because in SWGB, i believe we could only replace things, but not actually add the mods in

Maps, Units, structures, Scripts, textures, etc for the general populace. If you have C++ coders I'm sure you can get to the rest of the game (UI, new abilities, etc)

At what point would digging into the game to mod it be a breach of EULA? A few mods being kicked around talk about having more than 2 sides, but they are either talking about skirmish mode only, or I haven't seen where they discuss campaign mode.

This is my question though, are we going to be able to have more than 2 sides to a multiplayer galactic mode game using only legal modding techniques?

No need to double post Ghostly, anyway the only way we'll be able to modify the UI (Other then cosmetically) will be if they release the source code. They can choose not to in which case we'll just have to adjust our plans accordingly.
