Against a human player they'd probably notice the different colour markings. Team colours tend to usually give those things away. I suppose they might not notice, and if the enemy ai is programmed not to attack similar units (ie: Imperial units never attack other Imperial units no matter what side they're on, unless ordered to) you might get away with it. This is really a long shot though. That kind of ship ai just doesn't make sense, two imperials vs each other in a skirmish would always have to order their ships to attack.

As for playing solo against an AI opponent, they'll just know their own units. They always do.

Such as was the case in C&C Generals (Stupid example since it was made by EA) but I had this suicide bomb truck and turned it into a vehicle of the other side and well I went in but they shot at me and got blown up early and took out a sentry post by the enemy GLA force (WeirdI know).

Darn AI they can see the whole battlefield at once, they can organise their army in a second,...

Evacuate, in our moment of triumph. I think you overestimate their chances. :)

That is exactly why I didn't think there should be simultaneous battles in the campaign on different planets. Sure it might be fair with two humans playing each other, but when you're playing an AI and they can be omniscient and control both battles it would be rather unfair (IMO) to the human player.

There has never been a general fighting two battles on different planets at the same time! Why should they put something that is impossible in the game?

Its plausable, the game would probably freeze and you would have to fight it out one battle at a time. I think this was mentioned in an interview or something...

No, each battle will happen one after the other.
