-We've heard rumours that the tech tree ends at A New Hope. Is this true?

done

The tech tree builds up to the end of A New Hope but since the game doesn't follow the Movies exactly, the player can mix things up a bit. There are a couple of units seen in later movies that you can research in EaW.

 

So there will be a couple units from after, I can't think of a better fit to this than the interceptor and b-wing. And they fit in the balance unlike the SSD.

That reminds me, besides Legacy of War, isn't it you who are creating the Empire at War 'Realism Mod' to add all technology and units IV-VI, and all that?

That Legacy of War mod looks incredible, I must say. I'll give a crack at the regular game first, then load up the mod and see how it goes.

 

Any chance you could add Hapes to the list of civs? What I wouldn't give to command Battle Dragons about...

 

Also, where are you getting source info, such as ground units used by the Chiss Ascendancy? I don't recall hearing much about them in the way of ground forces.

Hapes are on the list, yes but in the first release. We'll get to them in the 2nd release(We have to becuase they come to coruscant and try and marry Leia :D)

 

And Yes we are going to add in the stuff from Ep 5 and 6 for the people who like the trilogy stuff. This will be a mini mod in of itself called Star Wars: Road To Victory. :D

 

Chiss forces we are getting the info from the new Dark Nest book series(I think its 2 books) but it is quite detailed.

 

I apologize about the renders being unskinned, our new skinner is working on the Interceptor so cross your fingers!

Nope, that's Stellar Magic.. but his main task is to fix all the stats to be more Star Wars-like first, to make the game less arcade-like ;).

Road to Victory? Rock! Are you going to do something about the respawnable heroes issue in that mod, or leave it alone, out of curiosity?

Juggy, while I admire your decision to push forward on the modeling of your additional units already, I have to wonder how many of those models will work in game. Have you guys discussed the manner in which the ship's break up or how the models in the original version of the game appear to work. It's possible that all the damage edges and so forth we've seen will have to be placed on the model during its construction.

 

Thats among the many reasons I'm at least waiting for the demo to decide what exactly to do for my modification.

speaking of ships breaking up was there a mention anywhere how long ship debri is left over? I was thinking the devs would use that as a astroid field clone. Thought I might put that in for a quick question.

 

Well good idea Steller I should to but i'm inpatient and I think Jugger is also.
