I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but this cover really does not make me want to read this book. It looks like it is a fan fiction cover.

The plot sounds just like any other star wars book that ever came out. "Oh no I sense darkness coming.......again!"

 

grrr I think I am done with EU for awhile.

no no, in the new star wars eu book, some of chewbaccas hair is found floating in space around that destroyed planet. The evil ones take his dna and clone him making a huge chewbaccain army!!!!!

Man I thought some of the stuff writers came up with was dumb, but this tops it all. Having said that I'll probably wind up reading it.

I am expecting to see a Massive Clone Army led by the Hapans under the overall Command of Prince Jacen and Queen Mother Tenel Ka.

When a outside and previously un-known alien races comes into invade!!! And in tightly gaurded secercy, the Imperial reminant complete the Death Star Mk.III!!! Oh, and the Solo twins are kidnapped again...

The saddest thing is, I grew up avoiding life and reading good EU literature.

 

It's depressing for me to see an entire literary universe - in which an imaginative mind can make anything happen, more or less - fall into stagnation.

 

Ah, well. I'll just wait for good writers to sell their wares, if they ever do emerge. I'm also really excited about Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader!

I think the problem is that the only use the same authors, they need to bring in new authors and new ideas.

Mayhaps, except I remember some of those authors (like Aaron Alliston, the author of the Wraith Squadron series and some of Rogue Squadron books) being pretty decent. It's like some sort of suckiness contagion has passed amidst their rank and file...

yeah we need new authors who ACTUALLY have read the plots of what has happened and they make sure there book fits in and follows on what has happened and heaven forbid actually use more characters than Luke, Leia, Han, the Twins, Vader/anakin what happened to a story where its about Anakin Solo and Tahiri actually doing more than just being friends?
