Teradyn_pff Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Actually we've already known about the Death Star 1 not targeting capital ships for ages. I mean if they want to keep most of the units in the timeline, then they should at least keep the superweapons in the timeline as well (and vulnerable). It is vulnerable to a small fighter, but we still don't know if a capital ship gets close whether or not the Death Star can attack and be attacked with Turbolasers conventionally. OMEGA Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Great idea, but the chance of the Death Star being destroyed would probobly be too great for me. If I bring the Death Star to a battle, expect me to use it. It wil always be guarded by one of my strongest fleets. Grand Admiral Thrawn 889 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 the Death Star is a useless Piece of Junk that is a DEATH TRAP! it has not got a Practical use it Can't Target Capital Ships and takes to long to recharge. it makes more sense to use the resources it would take to build it and build a Fleet that has twice the FirePower! http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n292/Admiral_Antilles/Thrawncopy.jpghttp://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg I Support the Resistance!

The Death Star was probably designed to be similar to a planet and theirfore other capital ships cannot interact with it directly. http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg> Petroglyph Forums Moderator> LucasForums Moderator
Grand Admiral Thrawn 889 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 yeah they could interact with it they can nimble away at the DS for all its size it's not invulnerable as i KEEP pointing out! http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n292/Admiral_Antilles/Thrawncopy.jpghttp://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg I Support the Resistance!

Gotta agree with you there. Blowing up a planet would yield no benefits, since you could spend the DS's resources to build a giant fleet and conquer any planet you want. Personally, I think the Death Star is for the impatient folks who are getting pissed off at the Rebels and want to take the easy way out: Blowing the whole damn planet up.
Teradyn_pff Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 You can't deny the beauty of finishing off a campaign by blowing up the enemy's last planet with a Death Star though. rogueace127 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 You can't deny the beauty of finishing off a campaign by blowing up the enemy's last planet with a Death Star though. True, but I would want to build up a huge army, go in and exterminate every last enemy unit, and seize the planet's resources for myself. Afterall, why waste a perfectly good planet that can benefit your forces? But then again, I would be playing as the Rebels, so I wouldn't be using the Death Star anyways.

If it is the enemy's last planet, why waste the time.. the game will be over after you blow it up. rogueace127 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 The game is over as soon as you destroy the other faction? Hmm,I would have thought the game would let you play a little longer as you rule your newly-conquered galaxy, to you know, enjoy the spoils of war and such. But in that case, I probably will use the Death Star.

But this isnt real life were talking about its EaW Like I said the chances of them programming that in are 0.1%, look I gave you an extra .09% (feel happy) http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg> Petroglyph Forums Moderator> LucasForums Moderator
