AT-AP Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 This isn't so much a creative/mod/concept artwork as I simply used the crude method of copy&paste to measure the different land craft used by the Republic and the Empire and put them all in a big picture. Hopefully modders or anyone wanting to do stuff with somewhat correct proportions will find this pic useful. Note, there are some vehicles where I simply had to make a guess at length/height (the MT-AT for instance), so double-check with a written source if you need more exact dimensions. Enjoy! http://img331.imageshack.us/img331/6546/vehiclestoscale8wl.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/CptK/StarCruiser.jpg
Grand Moff Joyce Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Skiffs were not made by the empire. The new age of the Empire has come!
AT-AP Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 No, but they are used by them for quick and easy troop transportation, which is why I have it there. Vehicles used by them, not necessarily made by them. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/CptK/StarCruiser.jpg
Juggernaut1985 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 No, its twice the size of an AT-AT. It even has Turbolasers.
Nevets Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 No, its twice the size of an AT-AT. It even has Turbolasers. you sure? this says they were comparable to an at-pt and could be carried in sentinels. http://www.galacticempiredatabank.com/XR-85TankDroid.html EDIT: ok there are 2 versions. one the size of an AT-PT, one much bigger.
AT-AP Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 Yes, the XR-85 "Mk I" was much, much smaller and compact. The "Mk II" was said to be twice the size of an AT-AT. Now, this was when all the tech manuals had a 15 meter tall AT-AT, making the XR-85 approx. 30 meters tall. However, when the AT-AT-scale was upgraded to conform to the size seen in the films, I checked with Dark Empire I (where the XR-85 is seen battling AT-ATs during the Imperial Civil War) and it looked only slightly bigger than them (and therefore not two times larger, i.e 44 meters tall), so I kept the 30 meter length when making this. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/CptK/StarCruiser.jpg
Grand Moff Joyce Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Still this is a great comparrison with Rep and Imp forces. The new age of the Empire has come!
AT-AP Posted October 31, 2005 Author Posted October 31, 2005 Thanks! Just keep in mind, I might have flubbed some of the designs (mostly due to lack of good side-view pictures) The AT-OT and MT-AT in particular might not be exactly right in terms of size (since the MT-AT wasn't stationary I had to guess the average length). http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/CptK/StarCruiser.jpg
