I am still not clear about modding i made a post before and i don't think my question was answered. I was saying how i never heard of mods and what do they do etc. I also want to know now how do people make mods and who?

A mod modifies the game to be what the modder wants it to be. There are limitations certainly, but most of the time a modder will just work within those constraints and make the game how they want it.

 

Who are modders, normal people who want to see the game they are modding be something else or expand the game.

 

How do people make mods, by editing game files. Not the EXE mind you but most of the time games have files which control the game itself so a modder just modifies them.

or the game has world editors which are just programs in the game that you can set up and create your own maps, win conditions, and units if your good at skins. Warcraft 3 world editor is a good example, there are hundreds of player modified maps that are playable on battle.net
