Juggernaut1985 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Chuck must have gotten the SSD and the ISD confused when I emailed him those months ago. No biggy and now we know there is no SSD.
Darkmark Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Like I said before, it all looked a bit 'dodgy while these things were worked out and while petroglyph were contacted. This with any luck puts an end to the rumor, or at least puts it on a footing where it usually resided. I have half a mind to unlock the SSD topic now, but for the most part I think this whole experience is better left behind us. Delphi's action is perhaps the better way to say goodbye to the whole stupid mixup of messages. Nevets Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Wait a second, this comment makes no sense: Because EAW adheres to Star Wars lore (3 years pre Episode 4 – Battle of Yavin) the SSD (Super Star Destroyer), more specifically, the Executor is not present in our game. The Executor did not come off the assembly line until sometime between episodes 4 & 5 Mon cal crusiers and A-wings were not produced till sometime after ep 4.
Darkmark Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I think we have to bear in mind that certain units can be built earlier than they did in the films. Before any bright spark decides that that could apply to the SSD, it obviously doesn't from Delphi's response. What this does tell us is that the timespan of the game may be a lot shorter than many of us previously believed. Yea it is kind of dissapointing if they only take it to ep4 esspecially since they would only need to add a handful of ships to take it to ep 6 (and a couple of them are fan favorites.)
Juggernaut1985 Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 I'm just glad I was wrong and this is all sorted out.

Nevets Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 New Task, mod in the Executor. I guess so, atleast now it can be made to the correct proportions.
Juggernaut1985 Posted October 10, 2005 Author Posted October 10, 2005 Sure can, and now we can add in the TIE Interceptor and B-Wing.
General Ackbar Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 well that sucks no ssd no b wing Its a trap! -Admiral Ackbar
Garbageben Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 This game is going to be great and the lack of a few units will not make me be disappointed. http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/sh/type/0/garbageben.png
Popcorn2008 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I have a gut feeling they gave the rebellion more units, to balance the game out more evenly with the empire. Thats why they have stuff from other episodes more so than the empire. http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg> Petroglyph Forums Moderator> LucasForums Moderator
JanGaarni Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Don't forget to mod in the ISD mkII. It came into play even later than the Executor class. http://www.lfnetwork.com/images/lfnlinker.gifStar Wars: Empire at War.Net Moderator&SWGalaxies Moderator Co-Leader of The Affiliates! -A-- What we do in life, echoes in eternity!- May the pants be with you!
Makwu Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Yes, lancers and defenders too please. Even with ceptors, awings + xwings will tear up imperial fighter escorts. Maybe we can target a-wings with the death star...

Maybe we can target a-wings with the death star... Heh, while that would be funny, I don't think that would be possible or if so, it would not be a wise use of the superlaser. Better to use it on the ship that deployed the A-Wing in the first place.
