It's a possibility. I saw one guy talking about it on a forim a while back. He was split between doing one set during the first 6 films (Fed vs Klings), the Cardassian war from Ds9, or a Enterprise E + Fed vs Borg one.

 

I think he dropped it due to lack of support though

 

We may have one. It just depends how many people out there would want to play one should one be made.

 

 

I like to think if you can't speak Klingon, then you've yet to become something detrimental to society. I can't. I like Star Trek, know my stuff usually, but I 'aint gonna get that obsessed about it.

I personally liked the idea of the Fed vs Klingon confict of the first 6 movies. If we look at the game as a whole the gameplay comes quite close in terms of sides, makes it easy to make replacements of the sides. The only problem with that is the number of heroes there can be...

 

There's unlikely to be more than 2 factions, unless they're much smaller than the EAW ones. Somehow I can't see this happening easily, since to add in new factions sounds a lot harder than simply adding units and changing planet names.

Sure, New Worlds had some tanks etc I guess you could model, but I can imagine major problems replacing some of the EAW units with Star Trek ones. Think how many true military ground tanks/machines we see in all the series... what would replace the AT-AT? the AT-ST? Tie Crawler? Only the infantry seem feasable. Many... many away teams...

Those Trekkies can bite my ass. Tell me that those large military powers wouldn't have some ground forces. They had shock troops and stuff anyway, so we could have hover tanks, photon torpedeo launchers..they're dying for a re-make of Birrth of the Federation anyway (the trek version of Rebellion.)

BOTF was sweet. I hope they do a remake like they did with EaW. Next best case senario would be a mod. A dominion war mod would be sweet, or borg. The galaxy would fear my fleets of Galaxy-X cruisers and Definants! Mua'haha

I think that from what people are saying they want a Trek set from DS9 onwards? That way you get the prometheus, soverigns, a decent war of what would appear to be 6 factions (reality just 2) with Fed/Kling?rom vs Card/Dom/Breen... with some Borg in there somewhere?

I want my EA faction!!! The Borg are so much cooler than anybody else, I mean their name is even cool. Say it with me now, Borg. Rolls right off the the tounge. It's single syllable name is far supirior to those multiple ones. Cardassian, wtf, thats 4 syllables. I'm a busy man, I've no time to enunciate 4 friggin' syllables. Even their name strikes fear into the hearts of everything. "0|-| |\|0z! 1+$ +|-|3 |}0|26!!!" See!?!?! I type it out the cries of fear normally and it comes out as Ultra-1337, thats how cool they are. It could be Borg vs. all and the Borg would still own.

Borg and 8472 as neutral I was thinking. I mean, they don't fit in with any alliance really.

 

I'm also well aware of restrictions I'm sure we're going to have imposed upon us concerning amount of individual races. Therefore I'm predicting that an overwrite of the Rebels and Empires with two 'groups' seems to be the best way to think about it as of yet until we learn more about what it is possible to mod in.
