Will there only be stormtroopers for the imperials, and rebel soldiers for the rebels? I wonder if there'll be sandtroopers, snowtroopers, etc.

I'd be interested to see whether the armour for stormtroopers changes depending on terrain, or if snowtroopers, sandtroopers and stormtroopers are all seperate units.

If the armour changes, perhaps the Rebel uniforms change depending on what planet you're on, so your normal rebels become 'Endor infiltrators' when placed on forest planets.

The empire used white armor on all battlefronts until after Endor when they introduced Camoflage Stormie Armor.

I never said it wasn't true Naja I was just saying that the colour of the Stormie armor is white. In cold climates they wear special equipment and in deserts they have cooling equipment in the armor.

You'd think with the ISD's and the SSD's the imps could have made a simple cooling device smaller than a backback. (That is the colling system right?)

Rebel1: "Hey look at those guys over there! hink they're lost?

Rebel2: "Um, those are imperial Stormtroopers."

Rebel1: "Nonsense! They're wearing white in a green enviorment!"

Rebel2: "So?"

Rebel1: "Well if the Empire can run the biggest fleet in the galaxy, ruthlessly conquer all, defeat the Jedi, they can't be stupid enough to send white-wearing troops into green-coloured areas?"

Rebel2: "Ok, I think............."

*Later, in a ISD's prison cells*

Rebel2: "Oh well done."

Rebel1: "Don't give me that look, you were th eone who offered them a packet of Tic-tacs."

Indum!!!

I want tictacs!!!

Still the cooling equipment is smaller than a backpack. They also have various biofilters to ensure that they can survive any toxins.

Those packs the Sandtroopers carry are more like a field survival pack, all the cooling equipment and filters are supposably built into the armor suit itself. Also, the squad leader with the Blastech T-21 carries a backpack generator for his weapon.

I'd have to agree since you can put your backpack on the ground but that wouldn't be wise since your always on the move and your always doing something. Well if you do set up a Imperial camp you'd take your backpack of and eat a snack for the next days patrols. Another hting would be that you would examine it with tools. Something to think about anyways  When I was posting I was thinking about NASA space suits.

For Imperials theres Snowtroopers so dont worry. For Rebels they got 3 types of troopers. Normal, Sentery gunners, and anti-vehicle. Well the unit list is in Little.B's site.

What about Dark Troopers?

Uh..........woops  was in a rush to post that so I forgot Dark Troopers but I wonder if they'll be in or not. Theres four versions of them and I think one is a different design in Battlefront. Well if its in great more variety and if its not then doesn't matter.

Yeah i think thats how it goes, wouldnt it be sweet if that happened with the larger vehicles too!

BTW G_S or i suppose we should call you Y_T now, sweet avatar!

Dark troopers are possible I suppose. They do tie in with Kyle's experiences in DF, who we know is in game.

I wouldn't expect we'd see the same kind of changes for units based on planet terrain, simply because it doesn't warrant it (there are no units which appear vastly different on different worlds) and because it would require many models for one unit to be modelled. Just my opinion, I may be wrong.

As for Ghostly's new name, it's gonna take a while to adapt to it, but it's pretty cool. Guess I'll have to call him Youki now...

It is more of a fear tactic, you are suppose to be able to see them. The empire is all about brute force, and you are suppose to see that force. where as the rebels are are about stealth so you will see them in camo.
