I say it is in the game. They just won't reveal all their cards yet and I wouldn't expect em to until much later. maybe november.

Hmmm. Since they keep pushing the release date back, maybe Petroglyph is deliberately hiding a lot of units until later. Maybe we'll all be surprised by the number of units that have not been seen in screens yet. Petroglyph could also have pushed the release date back in order to add more units. Ok that last statement is doubtful, but very very hopeful.

Well, since those space stations are so damned huge, they could easily handle the size of an SSD (even if it was only 3x the length of an ISD). Especially if there was only one, like the Executor as a hero unit.

 

They have done a great deal to release units and personell that we have seen only in Episode V+ (Veers, AT-ATs, Calimari Cruisers).

 

Add to that, every other goddamned thread around here has something to do with SSDs. With the Petro guys frequenting the forums all over online, I'm sure that they've ran across the idea at least once. And if they frequent here, I'm sure it's been rammed in their face numerous times.

It's in two of the six SW movies for pete's sake! Next to the Death Star, the Super Star Destroyer is the pinnacle of Imperial might. To not have it would be a huge mistake, and hurt EAW as a true Star Wars game. It makes no sense not to have the SSD. Especially if Home One is going to be in the game, then the Executor needs to be as well. I'm sure if the only SSD in the game is the hero unit Executor, then someone will mod it so it's buildable almost as soon as the game's out. That's just my thoughts on the SSD.
