TSKNF Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 Just something that bugged me and I forgot to ask, those who played the Games conference demo, how are air units like the airspeeder controlled on ground maps? I mean, do they hover when stationary or do laps? Little.B Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 The speeders always move around at the spot they are. So they do not "levitate" or something. And no Rancor: The only playable ground map was Hoth. http://www.pexsus.com/~littleb/eaw/banner_eaw.jpgFeel the ForceIRC (QuakeNet): #empireatwar
Enigameniga95 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 heheh not the suitable place for a Rancor to fight... although it would be funny to watch I suppose INTENSIFY FORWARD FIREPOWER!!!
Ghostly_Substance Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 It would freeze to death but at least I can watch it kill couple of them monsters (forgot the name of that moster that Luke unarmed, Wampa comes into mind tho). -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png

Overkill Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 They most likely chose Hoth to show off airspeeders cabling in its greatest envirement. Not to mention it was a great scene it was too short though. Alienware PC: 6000 galactic creditsDSL: 26 galatic creditsEaW: 50 galatic creditsWatching Darth Vader get eaten by Rancor because you never told him to move away and then throwing your computer out the window yelling NOOOOOOOO in your best Vader voice: Priceless

Vader89 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 When you tell the Airspeeders to attack the ATAT's do they automatically use the cables or do you need to specify it? http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e144/theairsniper/TAS-Userbar.jpghttp://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/Sharpshooter89720.pngYou Don't Know the Power of the Dark Side!Click for an EaW Countdown Timer!
Little.B Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Dunno. Another feature which did not work in the Alpha But I think it will be a feature you will have to start manualy. Perhaps even with a set percentage of failure. http://www.pexsus.com/~littleb/eaw/banner_eaw.jpgFeel the ForceIRC (QuakeNet): #empireatwar
Juggernaut1985 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Little B., how are squadron losses replenished?
Ghostly_Substance Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 A little thought I had for awhile. Do you need to build pilots then the crafts ? I doubt it tho since in the video you just built then they just waited for your command. Would be nice seeing a Tie Pilot jetpack down to safety behind your lines or the enemy lines and set up trabs then run to safety. Or the jetpacked Tie Pilot could hop a ride to the nearest shipyard and get back into action or pilot an AT-ST or AT-AT -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
Little.B Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 Little B., how are squadron losses replenished?Mh. I really dont know but I would suggest by healing because I did not see any command for this. http://www.pexsus.com/~littleb/eaw/banner_eaw.jpgFeel the ForceIRC (QuakeNet): #empireatwar
