Will EAW have one of the fatal flaws of other RTS games

this probably dosen't apply to the space combat

 

but in most RTS games ranged units cannot move and shoot at the same time

 

so are my storm troopers gonna stand there and shoot while being shot at the same time?

Hmm... That was something that always annoyed me as well, but I think most units in this game will be able to move and shoot at the same time, but don't quote me on that.

Hmm....

Rise of Nations: You move the unit and they stop attacking

Battlegrounds: You move and they stop attacking

Rome Total War: You move a unit and they stop attacking (from when I last played)

Homeworld 2: Ships attack while moving but they move slower.

 

Yup its a flaw all right. I dont know if EAW has it but from E3 video they were running and never gunned so they died.

At least Supreme Commander won't have that flaw from what I've read. Well, theres an easy solution, always have your units move and guard at the same time, therefore they'll stop and engage the enemy instead of just keep moving.

In video we can see ships shooting while moving. Cruisers and all are able to shot and move at the same time. At-st is the same thing, in the video i think we see them shooting and moving. For stormtroopers and all, i d'ont know. It would be very intelligent but I don't know.

maybe you have an extra order.

Attack run or stormattack. Unit moves / ran fast to the selectet location and fires during moving. low accuraty

 

normal attack. Unit will walk normal to the selectet location and attacks. middle accuraty

 

defence or secure attack. Unit moves slowly to selectet location. The unit trys to usw the ground strukture for defeating and attacking. Infantery units will breaking up her formation unter heavy or artillery attack. high accuraty

Why is English one of the most speaken languages? German is more better, it sounds better and i did unterstandt it ^^ but for you i will spoke english too, not good but you should unterstand me ^^

Thats what i hated about some of my RTS games, mainly the older ones. You would send a unit somewhere and hed walk right into the middle of an enemy camp or regiment or sxomething and he would just keep moving to the target area and get shot over and over. I also hated when you told the unit to attack a unit but the unit it was attacking was moving so it would go to where you told it to attack the unit and stand there instead of following the unit and gunning it down. A bit confusing i know :roll: But hopefully some of the devs have given some thought to this.
