Siddus Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 First Well, I come from Paris and i'm a student in a engineering school. I flashed on EaW because I love to play the general leading troops. I hope I'll have fun and the "Tigrann Siddus" name will echo in eternity
Garbageben Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I'm from Kansas and I am going to be a freshman at Kansas State, majoring in computer science. I like Star Wars a lot and think this kind of game is a long time in coming (so what's another 6 months? eternity lol). Other than that I play trombone and hopefully will get to march in the university band. Oh yeah and I'm 19. http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/sh/type/0/garbageben.png
Wiking_pff Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I come from Slovenia's capital Ljubljana. I'm a law student, not doing very good with my studies, but fuck that for now. Otherwise I'm 20 years old, been a SW fan since I was 12, read many many EU books and comics, played every possible SW PC game. In my spare time I am also a metalhead (just on my way to Wacken Open Air ). thats it.
Darkmark Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I'm from England, currently living in Canterbury where I go to university. In the times when it isn't holiday I study "English and American Literature with Creative writing" and am in the 3rd and final year. In the last year have co-founded a star wars comedy machinima project, where I write the scripts and act as leader despite not really wanting the role. It remains at the moment in pre-production. Oh yeah, and I'm 20. Any and almost all sci fi usually interests me, one of my modules in the first year was "Science fiction" so I have a broad base even if it means I'm not so concentrated on one in particular. I also play guitar and with any luck I'll be learning to play the keyboard very shortly. I think that's it. I'm a Star Wars fan since like 5 years old or something since watching a movie in Slovakia, Modra. I also try and go back to Slovakia for vacation and catch up on European fun factor. I have 1 more year of High School left which I hope will be completed. I also like Anime which other people seem to hate. -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png

Mooff Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 guess it's time for me aswell to introduce myself. I'm from Heidelberg, Germany - 22 years old - Student There comes the point where i should post that i am a starwars fan - but i'm not. *duck* (sry no offense)actually i came to this game cause i'm a cnc fan or better westwood/ petroglpyh fan. My favorite sciene fiction series ist "Perry Rhodan" - that's where the name Mooff origins from. One more thing. I play for fun - wining is most fun for me, so i play to win. More or less (some points differ) my way of playing online (lan is different) is written down by a guy named sirlin. http://www.sirlin.net/ His play to win articels are very enlightened i think. Regards Mooff
FiX Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Hi. I'm 19 years old, from Germany as well, and currently studying law in gießen (thats near frankfurt main). As an ex-2on2-mate of mooff I'm a big cncfan to - and as I guess a even smaller Star Wars fan Surprised Still the fact that petroglyph has a lot of ex-westwood employes makes me hope the game will be great. I play for fun - winning is a nice bonus for me. I never read the articels mooff gave me - I guess thats why he had to scream at me a lot when playing via voice connection....well, whatever^^ - hoping to have lots of fun on this site and with the game,FiX admin von united-forum.deThere can be no triumph without loss, no victory without suffering, and no freedom without sacrifice.

Ricbr Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 My name is Ric and I am in Pennsylvania. I am 31 (by the looks of things around here I may be the old man of the group.. ) and have been gaming for many years (mostly sports games and anything starwars). Married and I have 2 kids. I read about the game several months ago and was blown away at the possibilities that it could present for myself. Then I immediately thought about Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds and got worried. I took a bit of time to read about the company making it and their success in this genre of gaming and quickly got excited again. I dont have a ton of experience with RTS games but I do enjoy anything that is StarWars. The last few years I have spent about all of my time with Star Wars Galaxies and I am very proud to say that I finally cancelled that game after 2 years of playing...many months of beta testing...and several years earlier with just following the game. What a bust that turned out to be. But I did meet a nice group of friends that plan to all take up Empire at War as a new hobby come its time of release....Ill try to get them to stop by in time. My cats names are Dakota and Crayola
Popcorn2008 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Just joined Im Nate from Michigan, 15 years old and just joining to see whats up with EaW and to participate in the conversations and stuff. Teradyn_pff Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I am Jeff from Tyler, TX USA. Just turned 29 and am a Programming Data Specialist for a large media corporation. I have two cats, a brother and sister who are named Boots and Mittens respectively. I enjoyed the original trilogy but am not to thrilled with the direction that the prequels went (don't feel that Lucas has the same vision he did when he created episodes IV - VI). I also am not to crazy with the different directions some of the EU stories went as well. Too many authors for one story if you get my meaning. As a result my EU experience is pretty limited to what is exposed in the PC games like Dark Forces and the like. I played Rebellion more hours than I would like to admit and thoroughly enjoyed it for the most part. The parts that were kind of off for me are exactly what EAW is going to fix apparently and I can't wait. I honestly wish I hadn't found out about it until later. Swiftdraw Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 Well, I guess I may as well do this... Hi, I'm Steven from Reed City, Michigan USA. I'm currently attending at Ferris State University in Big Rapids for a Computer Science major. I'm planing on being shoved into a cold dark room and told to fix some god forsaken computers for $7.75 an hour after I graduate... Been playing video games since age 3 with my NES (still working) and Super Mario Bros. being my first game. I got into computer gaming after my neighbors showed Command and Conquer: Red Alert when it first came out. I was amazed with how great the graphics looked... Since then I've been more a computer gamer than console, and love modding (which you can't really do on console games) though I really suck at it. I ran into Empires at War after reading a gamespot or gamespy article and I've high hopes for it. Spring 2006 is to far away... I'm now teh lurker.http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/swiftdraw.png

Like reading encyclopedia entries on certain subjects without actually having to read the sources referenced (i.e. badly written novels and comics). =d I'm also a participant on the Stardestroyer.net forum and am a big fan of SW tech (especially walkers, unpractical as they may be irl). http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/CptK/StarCruiser.jpg
