Guest Scathane Posted April 27, 2003 Posted April 27, 2003 Is there any way to view whether you've got the edges right when creating a new card picture? I mean, the way it is now, I have to view the picture in RebEd to se whether any blue comes through... Is there any way this can be done in Photoshop?
Trejiuvanat Posted April 27, 2003 Posted April 27, 2003 Not that I knew, but again I always use a hard brush for the edges of the picture. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted April 27, 2003 SWR Staff - Executive Posted April 27, 2003 In PSP, you can set the pictures transparent color to blue, and hit View Transparency. Or you can create a new image with a different color and copy the image in as a transparent selection. Hope you can do this in Photoshop as well! But somehow, I fail to understand what you mean... Hope you can do this in Photoshop as well! As soon as I understand what you mean, I hope so too!
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted April 29, 2003 SWR Staff - Executive Posted April 29, 2003 In PSP:Goto ColorsSet Palette TransparencySelect Set transparency value to palette entryClick the color to set it to blueClick OkGoto ColorsView Palette Transparency Or Create a New Image - File - NewBackground color something other than BlueSet your current background color to blueCopy source imagePaste into new image using Paste as Transparent Selection I don't use Photoshop, but I'm sure the same methods will still apply. the_mask Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 You can also try the following (please bear in mind, that I don't use PSP, or PS much): you could just fill the blue area of the picture with another, preferrably seldom used color, like green, and see, if there are still blue pixels at the edges of your character pic. The thing is, RebEd uses the color of the pixel, that is in the lower left corner of your pic for the transparent color. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Guest Scathane Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Thanks, Mask. The point is, though, that I'm convinced taht I have every blue pixel in my pics covered after I've scanned the edges and retouched with a pixelwide air/paintbrush... However, I still get some blue 'shinethrough' in my cards...
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted April 29, 2003 SWR Staff - Executive Posted April 29, 2003 Disable Anti-aliasing. That way, your program won't smug your edges.
