Joshinator Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 For the size of a galaxy, i wonder in reality, how many SD and supers and fighters would have made up the empire at it's highest most powerful point. i think my one friend said at one point the empire had over 25,000 Star Destroyer's. Any info on this? -You seem to have an over developed sence of vengeance. Foshjedi2004 Posted June 21, 2005 Author Posted June 21, 2005 At the Empire's greatest strength it had hundreds of thousands of star destroyers of various types. Most of the Millions of Planets in the Empire we only garrisoned with a few squadrons of TIEs. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa197/knivesdamaster/tags/sith_omguserbar_member.jpg
Joshinator Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 See that makes sence. I thought 25k SD would be to few. So if u think about it, Rebels having a few thousand heavy combat ships like mon cal cruisers and what not isn't a hard thing to imagin. Not to mention all those fighters and lighter support craft. - i don't mean the local bulk cruisers mind u i mean the big corellian ships - -You seem to have an over developed sence of vengeance. Joshinator Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Welcome to the forum Numerous, u might be number 100 lol. Yeah i'm sure Fosh knows -You seem to have an over developed sence of vengeance. Foshjedi2004 Posted June 24, 2005 Author Posted June 24, 2005 The Executor-class was the correct title for the ship Type. The Imps had a tendancy to name the class after the First Version. The First Vic- Victory, First Imperial(imperiator)-Class- Imperiator, 1st Super(Executor)-Class- Executor. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa197/knivesdamaster/tags/sith_omguserbar_member.jpg
Numerous Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 where did u learn about the imperiator and the victory
Stellar_Magic Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Imperator was the original name for the Imperial Class until they realized that Imperator wasn't a word... (Actually it is a word, in Latin!) The Victory class was the star destroyer design directly proceeding the production of the Imperial Class. It's slightly smaller, capable of atmospheric flight, and well armed. So does http://www.theforce.net/swenc/categories.asp?category=7 I learnt a lot from these sites myself. I'm sure fosh has his sorces as well. -You seem to have an over developed sence of vengeance. sith4ever99 Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 also, there were many more types of SDs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_Star_Destroyer PS I was gone for a while, but I know a lot about EU after Ep. VI. I can help answer any questions.

Guest Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Your welcome. And like Arathorn said, there is a trilogy (yup 3) of books by Timathy Zahn. One of the best series of books in the EU. There's a lot about Thrawn in there. That guy was awesome. We also get to learn about Mara Jade, the future wife of Luke Skywalker wait, isnt marriage forbidden in the jedi order? that could create ep. 3 all over with me as the new master! bwahahahaseriously, its luke SKYWALKER! why would he go against the order? sorry i have not read any of the novels and just wondering
Zerogravity Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 i think cuz he created the new order:\ http://home.earthlink.net/~bldumka/AFACC.gifhttp://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/evoelementz.png
Ghostly_Substance Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Luke is a hero like his father was and they both betrayed the love code of the jedi order ? Well you couldn't love and you only fought all day long so Luke got lonely after finding out how fun love is ? -One Empire falls another riseshttp://myanimelist.net/signature/EuroSubstance.png http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/os/type/2/ghostlysubstance.png
Fun-We Posted July 3, 2005 Posted July 3, 2005 Luke allowed the New Jedi to love. In fact he allowed the Jedi to do many things that would have been considered Herecy in the Old Jedi Order. There is no emotion; there is peace. There is no ignorance; there is knowledge. There is no passion; there is serenity. There is no chaos; there is harmony. There is no death; there is the force.
Little.B Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 In fact at the end (ok, thats EU stuff) even Yoda admits that the "old way" was wrong and (not fiting to the time) and was one reason for the downfall of the Jedi. http://www.pexsus.com/~littleb/eaw/banner_eaw.jpgFeel the ForceIRC (QuakeNet): #empireatwar
Grand Admiral Thrawn 889 Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 al thou it was rare the Old Jedi Order did allow Marriage in special cases this is stated in i think ROgue Planet when you first find out about Zonama Sekot. the person who trained Vergere was married. and Luke had NO choice but toi allow his Jedi to Marry becuse if he didnt then the order would have died out and i also think that he didnt know about the marriage thing orginally but later learn about it from the Chuntor chest also he wasnt the first of the New Order to marry heres a list of the known ones: Kam Soulsar an Tionne Corran Horn and Mirax Terrak Horn (even had kid Valin there maybe a girl but cant think of the name)Leia organa Solo and HAn SoloLuke and Callista (almost got married)and proble others but cant think of them. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n292/Admiral_Antilles/Thrawncopy.jpghttp://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3269/pffuserbar2globalmodnx9.jpg I Support the Resistance!
Foshjedi2004 Posted July 18, 2005 Author Posted July 18, 2005 Why not just Say Luke and Mara Jade. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa197/knivesdamaster/tags/sith_omguserbar_member.jpg
Guest Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 just wondering, is there an ORIGINAL author for the star wars books, or is every one just based off of stuff in the movies? I have looked at a lot of the books, but not read any. each of the series seem to be by different authors, and i was just wondering if there is an original author that george lucas based his moves off of?
Guest JediIgor Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 You know, there is 24 books called New Jedi Order NEW JEDI ORDER Incase that wasn't clear read it slowly several times and you will understand why marriage is allowed in the new jedi order.
Foshjedi2004 Posted July 21, 2005 Author Posted July 21, 2005 The NJO was meant to show how Luke and the Jedi were moving away from the routes of the Old Republic Jedi. Luke gave up Guardianship of the Jedi at Ithor and on Mon Cal made up a Jedi Council with only half of the council being Jedi themselves. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa197/knivesdamaster/tags/sith_omguserbar_member.jpg
