For the size of a galaxy, i wonder in reality, how many SD and supers and fighters would have made up the empire at it's highest most powerful point. i think my one friend said at one point the empire had over 25,000 Star Destroyer's. Any info on this?

At the Empire's greatest strength it had hundreds of thousands of star destroyers of various types. Most of the Millions of Planets in the Empire we only garrisoned with a few squadrons of TIEs.

See that makes sence. I thought 25k SD would be to few. So if u think about it, Rebels having a few thousand heavy combat ships like mon cal cruisers and what not isn't a hard thing to imagin. Not to mention all those fighters and lighter support craft.

im about to sign up but until then, foshjedi where in the world did u read about a "executer star destoyer"(i cant spell) i believe u r thinkin of darth vadar's flagship, it was titled the executor but was a super star destoyer, just as isane isard's ship was a super star destoyer called the Lusankaya( i still cant spell)

The Executor-class was the correct title for the ship Type. The Imps had a tendancy to name the class after the First Version. The First Vic- Victory, First Imperial(imperiator)-Class- Imperiator, 1st Super(Executor)-Class- Executor.

Your welcome. And like Arathorn said, there is a trilogy (yup 3) of books by Timathy Zahn. One of the best series of books in the EU. There's a lot about Thrawn in there. That guy was awesome. We also get to learn about Mara Jade, the future wife of Luke Skywalker

Luke is a hero like his father was and they both betrayed the love code of the jedi order ? Well you couldn't love and you only fought all day long so Luke got lonely after finding out how fun love is ?

Luke allowed the New Jedi to love. In fact he allowed the Jedi to do many things that would have been considered Herecy in the Old Jedi Order.

al thou it was rare the Old Jedi Order did allow Marriage in special cases this is stated in i think ROgue Planet when you first find out about Zonama Sekot. the person who trained Vergere was married.

 

and Luke had NO choice but toi allow his Jedi to Marry becuse if he didnt then the order would have died out and i also think that he didnt know about the marriage thing orginally but later learn about it from the Chuntor chest also he wasnt the first of the New Order to marry heres a list of the known ones:

just wondering, is there an ORIGINAL author for the star wars books, or is every one just based off of stuff in the movies? I have looked at a lot of the books, but not read any. each of the series seem to be by different authors, and i was just wondering if there is an original author that george lucas based his moves off of?

The NJO was meant to show how Luke and the Jedi were moving away from the routes of the Old Republic Jedi. Luke gave up Guardianship of the Jedi at Ithor and on Mon Cal made up a Jedi Council with only half of the council being Jedi themselves.
