Hey, I'm not a newbie to Rebellion - been playing it for years when I get some time. I just finised off a game as the Empire. Started up a new game - no mods - big galaxy - moderate difficulty.
I thought setting the difficulty to moderate would cause the AI to make some more rational moves, but it seems to have just stacked the cards in the Rebels favor. The game kicked off with the Empire having 1 SD over Corusant and a VD in the system over another planet. 2 other systems have a VD and the other core sytem has a Galleon.
Starting fleet is
1 SD
3 VD
1 Galleon
To top it off other than the Sector with Corusant, none of the planets I've started out with have a construction yard. Rebels already have 1/2 again as many planets and I wasn't in the game 100 days before a fleet showed up a Corusant. Rebels had 4 Medium Transports, 2 Corvettes, 1 Escort Carrier and a Frigate. They came out of hyperspace with their fighters in a line. Once the battle started my Ties had to I guess launch because they just circled under the SD forever before engaging the enemy. By then the Rebs had the ships turned around and booked for hyperspace. Is this the typical slant or what?
