Aww... that's terrible... I haven't been around much of late, but it's a very sad thing to hear...

I cried when Def told me what happened, even though I already had suspected it. I'm near tears now, just thinking about it. Paul will be sorely missed by all of us that got to know him, I know.

Chaos, Panic, Disorder, Destruction.....

I was in tears as well when I first read this thread, despite never getting around to meeting Paul. He didn't post particularly that much, I never got around to knowing him via msn on account of me either being up a tree, on a bike, or completely overwhelmed at work in an office, like I am at the moment;

yet somehow got to know him through email.

Treasure your time fellas, as you get older it seems to pass ever more swiftly with age, and when things like this happens you regret all the things you never got around to saying. It was always on the cards with Paul though, but still.

I'll drop this here, but you lot here are, and generally always have been, one of the best bunch of dudes i've encountered on the internet, for diversity in all aspects of things, but ultimately giving these forums a thoroughly 'welcoming home feel, whenever I have time to return.' I think Paul would approve of the sentiment.

The real bitch of the timing was that my family and I had just buried my great grandma the week before. She was 93.

Bad luck matey, but it sounds like at that age she had a good crack of life's whip! I just got a letter on Saturday informing me I have inherited 1/3

of my recently departed, also ninety so and so great-uncle's estate, which according to the letter, and my knowledge of quite how wealthy the guy was, should revolutionize my life. This was a guy who even in his late eighties would send post cards from some safari in Africa, or the far-east. I can only admire his physical endurance and zest for life! I hope I will possess the same :)

This January was the fourth and third anniversary of the passing of my grandmother and grandfather respectively. They both left behind a spouse (separate sides of the family), and neither has really been quite right since.

Losing a family member is always difficult, but it always prompts me to ask how I would want them to carry on were I the corpse. Truth-be-told, I don't think I've ever found anyone who really wants a tearful, mourning funeral. It doesn't mean that they won't almost always get one, but it makes me feel better about moving on with my life.

I think you're right, Tofu. No one wants their loved ones to be sad. Yet no matter what happens, when we lose someone, we invariably are.

Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of Grand Moff Paul Conway :(

Just wanted all to know GMC is still "here" in spirit (especially when I play a game of Rebellion) :)

RIP GMC.

It feels like it was only yesterday that you were at the helm of the Galactic Empire.

And another year passes, my friend. Maybe I'll play a game of Rebellion in your honor  (As Impreials, of course! :D )

I'll have to play a game of Rebellion Wednesday in his honour, and I too will fly his flag of the Empire

*REMOVED*

You sound like a slick-sidewinder to me; all of your "posts" are SPAM and should be deleted from the system  ! EVADERS!!! Hack his crap out of the forums. Putting your dribble here on Paul's thread just rubs me the wrong way and sticks in my crawl :x . May the fleas of a thousand rabid mangey coyotes infest your crotch  . And DON'T COME BACK!

Oh, and Merry Christmas to the SWR community :D
