LordStefX Posted September 24, 2007 Author Posted September 24, 2007 the game is v1.41, patched with the "patch from cd" technique, all videodrivers are latest models except maybe for ATi Catalyst Control CenterThe game worked perfectly until june, when I had a HDD crash, had to reformat the disk. BF2 works ok on stock installation, but the patched version just ctd's around ~59-60% (loading geometries) I tried lowering geometry level but still doesnt work... If there is any other info needed which I forgot to mention, plz say so Stef http://www.danasoft.com/sig/hfahfhfzc.jpg
Mad78 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 Have you tried any other patching techniques? Maybe try redownloading the patch. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Eagle Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I know that kind of problem very well. The only way to fix it is to deinstall the whole game, than use the CrapCleaner to remove any registry-entry which is related to EA and Battlefield 2. But be carefull that you don´t erase anything else! After that download and install the newest version of Directx and also an actuall graphic-driver. Than you can reinstall and patch the whole game. Use the full-patch to version 1.41 if possible. Who cares at all?!
LordStefX Posted September 25, 2007 Author Posted September 25, 2007 ok ty guys ill try it and let u know how it works out!!! (not now though, chemistry test tomorrow) In any case though, I was wondering if it would be possible to install the game on a friends pc and then patch it there, copy the files to DVD and paste over my current files? just as a last resort, btw, last nights family guy was awesome!!! (Why are they called Tie Fighters, han? - I dunno - Asian guy in the tie ) http://www.danasoft.com/sig/hfahfhfzc.jpg
LordStefX Posted September 29, 2007 Author Posted September 29, 2007 um i did all that, now the patch crashes at objects_client.zip 30%, alternating patch failed message and simple vanishing trick.I'm really startint to hate EA games now but if u guys know a bypass or something plz lemme know (im trying to patch from a dvd right now, fingers crossed) http://www.danasoft.com/sig/hfahfhfzc.jpg
Eagle Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Try to patch again and leave your machine alone while patching or otherwise it may crash again. If that won´t help download that patch from another mirror. Oh, yes, I know this game can drive you really cracy. Just be prepared for other errors which may occure when you´ve done with the whole installation. Who cares at all?!
LordStefX Posted September 30, 2007 Author Posted September 30, 2007 k its fixed and working fine i can finally use my lvl 3 sniper and assault kits again WOOHOOty guys i rly appreciate this http://www.danasoft.com/sig/hfahfhfzc.jpg
Mad78 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Have fun. I'll have to reinstall BF2 one of these days and then we can have a game. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Eagle Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I don´t play it online anymore, because it´s full of bugusers, cheaters and kids who just want to score and never heard anything about teamplay. If you´re not in a clan you´re nearly lost. I´ve installed the single-player mod now, so I can enjoy at least a bit my favorite maps, but it´s just not the same as it was in the beginning. Who cares at all?!
Mad78 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I´ve installed the single-player mod nowWhat's that? http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Lord_La_forge Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 BF2 can be pretty brainless action online. If you want to play a good fps game in single player, you should try Sniper Elite. Or Rainbow Six Vegas is also very nice offline.
Eagle Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 What's that? It´s this one. You can play all maps of every size in the singleplayer-mode with that. There are also 14 other singleplayer-mods available as download. But if I want to have nice tactic action with a nice community I still prefer the good old BF1942. Talking about bf1942 and bf2: This Mod could be really nice. Also the "Operation Peacekeeper"-Mod has been released on sunday. Who cares at all?!
