Well, except the torque part if you turbo the block - then they'll jump in torque, quiet literally doubling. The stock RX-7 FC with an NA block had a meagre 140 or so Nm or Torque, the turbo 295Nm. Not massive figures, but for a 1.3 and in a car that weighs under 1400kg that's a nice amount of torque. (i.e. only in books/class)..WARNING: Geek Alert!... when you run the analysis using the standard equations for an Internal Combustion Engines (I.C.E.) it is there in plain numbers that the rotary engine just sucks. Naturally, there are added benefits that can not be seen on paper (with a standard analysis).. and naturally if you add a turbo you're going to get some more out of it.. oh.. and 440Nm is pretty bad ass i must say.. my Z has about 365Nm .. its around 268ft-lbs of torque (i cant quite recall right now)... and I had to do my conversion.. so.. yea.. pretty sure thats around the right number..but thats without a turbo.. and its a 3.5L V6.. so.. yea.. ill shut up now "Duct tape is like the force.
