Did you test it out Pucho? I mean, in RebEd make a capital ship have an insane weapon recharge and see what happens? I always noticed how my ships always attacked the largest(and strongest) enemy ships first but I had no idea it was based on weapon recharge.
I wanna know why the man has a gun and the gun not the man keeps the world at bay. I wanna hear what the man has to say, what the man has to say might just save me.

It makes sense that that is how they choose, but I thought that I noticed the fighters going for an Intredictor first. But I could be (probably am) wrong

The interdiction generator is probably at the top of the priorities. It's the primary threat, without a interdictor you can escape, with one well... you better count your ships and fighters.

I made my fighters strong enough, so they'll kill cap ships easily. Sometimes to easy. Which makes me count my forces before I decide to battle a fleet with many fighters.

Fighters, as everyone who has experienced enough tactical battles knows, initially attack fighters first (unsure according to what statistic) and then, from my extensive experience with tactical battles, erratically attack the capital ships.
I guess fighters have no other choice than to attack fighters, since you'd be a sitting ducking to enemy fighter fire if you wouldn't. With regard to attacking capital ships erratically: I would rather lose an extra fighter, than an extra capital ship...

I altered stats to give fighters a chance to take a shot at cap ships and survive.

Boy, I fear those B-Wings and Tie Bombers now.

It makes everythign much more interesting. sadly you cannot send fighter to attack alone. :(

You rarely play unedited games, do you, Trejiuvanat?

Since I discovered RebeEd all those years ago. Never.

Sometimes I edit them so, I'll wind up running for my life.

In what sense: that the Empire is too strong?

The above applies to capital ships only. Fighters, as everyone who has experienced enough tactical battles knows, initially attack fighters first (unsure according to what statistic) and then, from my extensive experience with tactical battles, erratically attack the capital ships. From my experience, they seem to sometimes attack and destroy capital ships (perhaps according to their Weapon Recharge, or...) and sometimes I have experienced them attacking capital ships and jumping to other capital ships before the initial ship is disabled.

A couple of things to add to my test list, I guess.

Fighters always attack enemy bombers first (ie. YW/BW, then XW/AW), dont remember wether they went for oldest first but i think so. Also, i must add that its VERY rare that i see the AI going for my interdictor ship/s what so ever.

Edit: lol, should have read the thread to end before i posted :)

Thanks for the testing Pucho777
