i bought this game a while back but my cd broke. i cant find a working no-cd patch can someone PLEASE HELP ME. i love this game but i cant play it.

its not illeagal cause i own the game all the ones out there right now dont work. i dont know how hard it is to make a no-cd patch or exe but can someone please try, me and several other people desperatley want to play this game and we would really appreciate it.

Can you not read the sticky? We can not and will not help you people get the game for free in any way, shape, or form, regardless of the circumstances!!!

... But you still managed to break the game, and any copies available online for free would not, in fact, be legal. If you can just claim that your copy broke and get a new one, what stops other people from doing the exact same thing and getting the full game for free? Buy a new copy, surf E-bay, bum it off a friend- whatever. We can't help you.

im not talking about the full game. im talking about a patch that only makes it so i dont need the cd in the drive to play it. theres no files from the game in a patch.

Simply copy the file containing the Game videos into the game folder. The game should run without the disc after that.

And seriously, you are far from being the first person to come to us saying that they had scratched there disc and desperately need a new copy. We are not a E-shop. We don't just snap our fingers and make copies of the game out of thin air. Nor do we have the authorisation of Lucasarts to offer the game as a download. Now I know its a pain in the arse but you will have to go to some places like Ebay or the Lucasarts shop to get a new copy.

I won't start discussing the legality of downloading the game through other not-so-legal way (p2p and whatnot) since laws on such subjects vary a great deal from side of the globe to another.

Note the in stock now bit. Make numerous back up copies like the rest of us when you're sorted. It's legal.

But you broke it. Try contacting Lucasarts and what their policy on broken disks is. If they are nice they might replace it with an unbroken copy.

I've spent hours to find freeware to simulate the cd-drive and make an iso of the cd ... and now you come and tell me that wasn't necessary in the first place...

 

However, could you describe that *in detail* for a dummy like me, please?! What do I have to copy where *exactly*?
