Guest Scathane Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 I keep running into the Luke Skywalker Force Growth phenomenon: I send Luke on a mission (with or without another character, with or without decoy) and there it is... The mission's foiled as well. I always thought that this happened when Luke encountered another Jedi, but since it keeps happening on every system in the same sector, this seems doubtful... wormie Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Whenever Luke is on a unsuccessful mission he experiences a Force Growth, the same goes for Leia once she finds out about her true heritage. If luke goes on a mission and confronts Vader or the Emporer and it fails and he doesn't get captured i've noticed that he gets two force growths. Guest Scathane Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 No kidding? So, theroreticaaly, you could keep sending him on missions you know he will fail on and beef him up endlessly? How much do his stats grow after Force Growth?
wormie Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Not sure the growth rate, but I did have his Combat at or around 1500 and his espionage around the same. Guest Scathane Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 That's quite a lot. How long did it take you?
wormie Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 I don't know, when I play the game time seems to stand still it was probably around 30 mins. or so. Guest Scathane Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 That's impossible, man, I've been at luke for hours and never got him up to 1500!
Trejiuvanat Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 It is possible but not in 30 mins. Using Luek mostyly in sabotage missions will make his combat rating alot higher, even if his mission is foiled he gains force rating. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
wormie Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 Probably was more than 30 minutes... sorry for any confusion. Lost a planet Master Obi-Wan has, how embarrassing. - Yoda Do not count a human dead until you've seen his body, and even then you can make a mistake. - Bene Gesserit saying

the_mask Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 Well, if you 'adjust' the Jedi level and the percentage with RebEd ... http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
wormie Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 I didn't use Rebed, because I don't have it. As long as the missions keep failing it is pretty easy if not tedious Lost a planet Master Obi-Wan has, how embarrassing. - Yoda Do not count a human dead until you've seen his body, and even then you can make a mistake. - Bene Gesserit saying
Guest Scathane Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 (edited) I would believe it to be tedious! Mask, with regard to RebEd. If you edit Luke to a combat level of 200 and a Jedi level of 200, his combat skill will be: 200 + 200% * 200 = 600 Regarding the fact that Luke doesn't go up that much per failed mission... If you reckon between 1 and 10 points, maybe?, raise in combat skill would be between 2 and 20. Even then it would take quite some time... How long did it take you wormie? wormie Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 Too long, but I had nothing better to do since I had sprained my ankle playing volleyball, hence the insane amounts of time on my hands. Guest Scathane Posted April 6, 2003 Posted April 6, 2003 Then, by estimate, how long did it take you?
wormie Posted April 7, 2003 Posted April 7, 2003 If I had to guess, then it was probably between 1 and 2 hours. Lost a planet Master Obi-Wan has, how embarrassing. - Yoda Do not count a human dead until you've seen his body, and even then you can make a mistake. - Bene Gesserit saying
Guest Scathane Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 That's pretty quick... I mean, two hours isn't that much when you're playing a game.
dude21 Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Thats indeed very short If Iam playing a netwokgame with a pal we play more than 2 whole days each game that means around 30 h!! "I am growing stronger with the Force"
Guest Scathane Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 How do you set up such a network game: just two pc's in the same room?
dude21 Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Right I have 2 PCs in a room and we are playing nearly every weekend If u like to play with me come to Leipzig "I am growing stronger with the Force"
Guest Scathane Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Sounds good. How's gameplay against a human opponent? I mean, do you get more messages than in an AI game? Do you even read messages in a game against a human opponent? Tell us...
the_mask Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Well, that depends on your opponent You can also send messages yourself to the other side in a network game. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Guest Scathane Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 By the way, Mask, would you want to play online again, through the Zone?
