Sinister Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 They never showed it in the movies, but somehow they had to get those AT-ATs down to Hoth from the Star Destroyers. What I was wondering is how is this done? The obvious answer is they use some sort of cargo shuttle to transport the things. But... 1. How many AT-ATs can one Star Destroyer hold? 2. How do they load the AT-ATs into the transport Shuttle? Do they just walk into it, or are they in parts, and have to be assembled upon landing? 3. How many AT-ATs can the transport shuttle hold? In any case, I was just wondering how they go about doing this. Thanks. http://www.geocities.com/xenogears23/Jokersinsigmgs.jpg "Life is hard. After all, it kills you." - Katharine Hepburn
DarthTex Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 The wonders of wiki There are two methods of the deploying them: AT-AT barge & dropship. AT-AT barge dropship I believe you might find additional info in one of the SW Tech cut-away books The ISD I carried 20 AT-AT's & 30 AT-ST's Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Muwhahahaha!! What?? What do you mean "there's only two of us"?
Defender_16 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I'm looking at my incredible cross sections book and I can see room for about 4 AT-AT barges on the ISD Devastator. You can only see the front of 2 of the barges and they don't look anything like those pictures from Force Commander. Infact they look just tall enough that an AT-AT could walk onboard it, though it's only wide enough for 1.
Mitth_raw_nuruodo Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I don't like the fact that they call the SSD's "Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts. It's a Super-class Star Destroyer. SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted March 28, 2006 SWR Staff - Executive Posted March 28, 2006 I subscribe to the preference for real-life naval tradition myself... In the movies, the Executor is only called a “star destroyer†Evaders99http://swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif Webmasterhttp://swrebellion.com/images/banners/swcicuserbar.png Administrator Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.- SW:Rebellion Network - Evaders Squadron Coding -The cake is a lie.
