Guest Scathane Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 If I change some planets in Rebellion with Rebed and I want to switch back to the originals temporarily, does anyone know which files I should back up so that I will be able to re-import the changes later on?
Trejiuvanat Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 Depends on what you changed. If you altered the position of the sectors, and importance, visibility, etc. It's the sectors.dat in the GDATA folder. If it's the names it's the TEXTSTRA.DLL file. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Guest Scathane Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 Thanks, Trejiuvanat. By the way, is here any particular meaning to your name?
Trejiuvanat Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 I guess there might have been one, but that was too long ago. It's a serious deformation of my actual name, and it sounded too starwarsdish, so I used it when I joine SWR. I one of my short stories it's the name of a Chiss officer. What's the meaning to your name? http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
vakundok Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 The sectorsd.dat and systemsd.dat are not independent. So backup systemsd.dat as well.

What's the meaning to your name? It's a remnant from a very old language...., even from before when the Sith were still a people on Korriban. This particular language is also often heared uttered by beings after extensive drinking in the Mos Eisley Cantina...
the_mask Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Jawas ? http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Guest Scathane Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Among others... Jawa's are terrible when drunk, by the way.
the_mask Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Chadra Fan then Ithorians, Duros, Talz, Devaronians, Wookiees, Rodians, Aqualish, errrm which did I miss ? Although the 'official' language should be Huttese with most of them and in regards to Mos Eisley. So which one is it ? http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
Guest Scathane Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 You guys really ARE curious as to what "scathane" means, aren't you?!
UntimelyDemise Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Apparently, some of us don't get out much! Actually, I'm sort of interested, too... Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.--Napoleon Bonaparte I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.--Robert McCloskey, State Department spokesman Support the USA!
Guest Scathane Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Scathane is the male version of Scathach Scathach ("The Shadowy One" or "She Who Strikes Fear") Sgathach or Skadi. Irish/Scottish. Warrior woman and prophetess. The Goddess of martial arts. The destroyer aspect of the Dark Goddess. A great sword warrior and instructor. Patroness of martial arts, prophecy, blacksmiths and magic. Taught the martial art to Cuchulainn.
UntimelyDemise Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 Excellent! I assume it's a Gaelic word, then. How is it pronounced? Like "Shot-on"? Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.--Napoleon Bonaparte I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.--Robert McCloskey, State Department spokesman Support the USA!
Guest Scathane Posted March 18, 2003 Posted March 18, 2003 That's just a near miss: "Skaw-thain" would be the proper pronunciation (or so I'm told, Gaelic isn't exactly my mother tongue).
UntimelyDemise Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 It's a cool name, nonetheless! You could've came up with a slightly goofy name like Zoot. In case you don't know, Zoot is Jahled's cat, and has homicidal tendencies. Welcome to our little corner of the web! Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.--Napoleon Bonaparte I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.--Robert McCloskey, State Department spokesman Support the USA!
Guest Scathane Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 I've heared about Zoot. My cat Hobbes has read about Zoot as well and he's a great fan. He's now considering joining the Dark Side and becoming Darth Hobbes.
Trejiuvanat Posted March 20, 2003 Posted March 20, 2003 Tha wouldn't go out well for us. If the cat of the male version of Skadi decides to join Zoot it could spell doom on us. If Zoot alone, did blast Jahled, Untimely and me to the moon and destroyed Elvis's body. I wouldn't wanto to hink what Zoot could become if she was aided by Hobbes. Oh, my. We're doomed C-3P0 http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
