soonernfl18 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Hi! I am wondering if anyone knew where I could download a copy of Rebellion. I bought the game about 8 years ago but I have lost the CD. I do still have the original box (go figure) if that could help prove I have purchased it (like the ISBN number). I have looked for this game everywhere but cannot find it. If I would have to pay for the download I could do that as well. I have just really been wanting to play this game lately and appreciate any help in finding a copy.

Mad78 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Please not again...No the game cannot be downloaded. You shall have to purchase a new copy from Lucasarts. It can be found in their online store. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance

Mad78 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 May i suggest to Stratus that he should put a note on the page where you sign up about the fact that we do not offer links or places to download reb. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
AdmiralToguroAni Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Ever hear of torrents? Its there. Look for it on your own and take the risks associated with it. We don't want this website getting shut down by allowing free Lucasarts software! Its online though. Just have to know where to look. Count Dooku is the strongest Star Wars character as depicted in the movies. All hail Christopher Lee.
soonernfl18 Posted March 4, 2006 Author Posted March 4, 2006 I did say I would pay for it. I was just wanting some help finding a place to get it. I was not wanting a free copy. There have been games on official sites where I can pay for the game and then download it instead of having to have it shipped to my house, which is what I was trying to avoid. I never said I wanted it for free.
DarthTofu Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 You said you would pay as well, not solely. Now paying for it is legal Something some of us don't really care for. But if you want to pay for it, I would suggest one of those gamefly websites or whatever the hell they're called that are constantly advertised on G4... 12/14/07Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
Master_Xan Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 It will be hard to find, given the game's age and low number of players. Myself, I'd check Ebay, but they will have to ship it, no downloads there. Star Wars: Rebellion, A Field Manual"O be wise, what can I say more?"
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted March 4, 2006 SWR Staff - Executive Posted March 4, 2006 There really isn't a big push for downloading games by publishers, mostly because it would give them less control over how things are distributed. Not everyone has broadband, and there would be concerns about how to make the downloads stable and secure. Why risk having people download something they could later distribute by file, when making a CD and putting protection on it is easier. Most downloadable games these days tend to be MMORPGs, where they make you subscribe to their service first, or remade arcade classics. Few traditional computer games are released as downloads, usually those that have been are made open source due to their publisher. LucasArts is one of those companies that is a stickler for their Star Wars copyrights, I doubt you'd ever see their games being distributed for downloads. Guest Scathane Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 The game can easily be found by entering the words Star Wars: Rebellion on eBay. It will give you several sellers to choose from. We don't want this website getting shut down by allowing free Lucasarts software! And neither do we want to become an SW-community known for advocating illegal downloads... Topic locked.
