HerrGeneral
Although Battlegrounds is now a few years old I still find it a very enjoyable game. Lots of Empire and Rebellion units and structures, as well as CIS, Republic, Gungans, Wookies, Trade Fed, and Naboo. Plus an easy map editor was a added bonus. I am yet to play EaW, but will after all the bugs have been sorted out. Which would you say is better Play Wise? http://www.swrebellion.com/images/banner_be.gif
SWR Staff - Executive Evaders99 Posted March 3, 2006 SWR Staff - Executive Share Posted March 3, 2006 I don't think you can compare them really. Too entirely different game styles. Empire at War has a mix of ground combat, space combat, and a galaxy view, all fairly simplified to fit into one game. Combat won't really last more than 10 minutes. There isn't a wide list of units, nor is there production on the map like GB, relies on reinforcement points to bring in units. Galaxy isn't as complex like Rebellion. Galactic Battlegrounds is essentially a SW mod of AOE. Gameplay got fairly stale... as there is only so many times I can replay a classic RTS style.
